No you pay your own hotel.
Registration fee is $250 per person and activities included in the registration fee are the welcome dinner on Friday, tour to the Thunderbird Lodge on Saturday, and the buffet dinner/dancing cruise on Lake Tahoe Saturday night and a goodie bag. We also have a few other fun activities in the works including a few cruises because we can't have a VOA event without driving our Vipers! (we have left breakfast and lunches open for attendees to make their own choices)

Ok, thanks!! I was there last July and loved it!! We did the Ms Dixie pints and paddles cruise with Ike and Martin. The gondola ride to the top of Heavenly Mountain was awesome.

Tom,

Do you have any details as to when we're going to drive up to Tahoe? Maybe we can catch up with the other clubs if any of them know when they'll be passing through Fresno, etc.? I know I wouldn't mind leaving pretty early in the morning to try and miss some of these high temps we're having in the valley.

No word yet on car pooling, I will let you know as soon as I have an answer. I would like to leave early too!

How about meeting at the Black Bear Diner just off the 99 in Madera? We can have breakfast and leave from there, if that works for you let me know what time you want to meet up. That'll be easy for others to stop in as well, if they want to join up with us. Or if you have something else in mind, let us know.. Thanks

We will meet at the Starbucks at 6786 Bernal and Hwy 680 in Pleasanton at 9:45 and leave around 10:00 to 10:15.

We will stop for an early lunch at Foothill Shopping Center in Lockeford right on Hwy 88. There is a Burger King at 18890 State Road 88 and there is also a pizza place there.

We'll leave around 12:30 and get to our destination about 3:00 P.M. Please email Jim if you want to join this group driving up from the bay area. silver8@sbcglobal.net

If people want to RSVP to me we can wait for them.

Thanks Glen...

The Lockeford stop is about a 2 to 2 1/2 hr. drive from Madera. I'll plan on leaving the Black Bear Diner in Madera around 8:30ish on Friday morning. If anyone driving up from the South on the 99 wants to meet us there for breakfast, me and Peggy will be there at 7:30 a.m.

Tom, will that work for you?

Yes sounds like a plan....Was planning on getting a hold of you tomorrow to discuss. As of now it will be us, Bob and Linda R. and maybe one or two others.
If we leave Madera by 9:00 am (at the latest) we should be fine for time. The SoCal group is coming up 395 with AZ group, so they wont be joining us on the way up.

With the fire still going on and road closures along the 88, are there any plans to take an alternate route? Maybe just head up and take the 50 over?

Or do we wait and just make that call Thursday? It probably wouldn't hurt to have an alternate place to meet, just in case we decide to take another route.

What do you guys think?

I live close to Jackson. Hwy 88 is open. The fire is South of hwy 88 no issues going up 88.
