So Memorial Day weekend was a bit busy for me. Saturday I traveled up to Lime Rock for the Trans Am race and then headed south to Pocono for two days and shoot Pocono - Celebration of Speed and Design by Bobby Cerchione. It was an absolute blast, the Pantera guys really show up in numbers! Vipers, Corvettes, Panteras, Ferrari's and a few others took to the track for an absolutely incredible track day. Three classes got at least, eight 20 minute sessions through out the day! Talk about seat time.

Bobby, Adel, Chris and Bryan ran their Vipers on the track. The road course at Pocono is very interesting. You run at least half the NASCAR track when you come off turn 2 in a hard breaking zone to the left. Then a right, straight, and then another left, a right, a sweeping left and then back on the front straight. Bobby took me for a ride in his coupe and we hit 165 before turn 1 and on the last lap got point by's from 4 out of 5 Corvette's on the last lap.

Adel and Sara got stranded outside the track unfortunately but Bobby came to the rescue with his truck and trailer so they could get back home. So that meant driving the coupe back home on a set of Hoosier's. YIKES! But I followed Bobby back to Jersey to make sure we ALL got back home on four wheels. We kept getting threats of rain but we lucked out.

Chris and Bryan were in the 'newb' class, getting their time on track with a instructor to learn about their limits and the course itself. I can report they did very well, in fact Bryan was making some really nice advancements just about every lap! Not bad for a guy who drives his TA in the winter from what I was told! We setup the go pro on his helmet, I thought it was really interesting since we can hear what the instructor has to say and you can see Bryan's speedometer pretty good.
