Sometimes mustangs dynos break hearts and spirits
Did you get a baseline before mods.?

Unless you did a baseline pull before the mods, these numbers aren't going to mean much.
Granted, I'd say that's pretty low even for a Mustang dyno (and I'm guessing why you posted the results). About the only thing you can do would be to either line up against another car with similar mods and see how you fare or get some quarter or eighth mile trap speeds that would be indicative of whether or not your car was down on power.
What were the conditions when you were on the dyno? Did you monitor IATs by any chance?

After reading the other thread I am more then a little confused. Every car that ran in today's event seamed low even for a Mustang. We had a Hellcat that only posted 640WHP and I have seen those post in the 675-680 range on a Mustang. I really thought I should be at 590 ish with what I have done to the car. I never had a base line to start with. Went straight into the headers and pipes so that's on me. To be honest if I did find another 60 whp to get it to 590whp on this Mustang it would not be as much fun to drive. I can bust the tires loose now just driving down the road. Oh well another day another dyno.
Thanks

It makes no sense that a Hellcat would dyno 640 on this same dyno, same day that you did 529. Your IATs must have been sky high and timing was pulled. Your torque is way low. Did they have any fans flowing? Was the hood closed? They weren't in reverse were they? Ok joking on that last one.

Quick question - Were you running 93 octane while on the dyno? Even though it runs fine on 91 I don't think it makes full power without 93...

Fan on,hood closed and a fresh tank of 93. I don't know the IAT I did not make the passes the dyno guy did the set up and made the pulls in the car. He did set the rev limit to 6200. The day's weather was just about perfect 70 deg's and sunny.

If other cars were dynoing low, that would be enough evidence that it is a stingy dyno. As long as it runs like you think it should on the street, it's likely fine and making the power it should.
Only pulling to 6,200 is also leaving a bit on the table, especially since you have another 400 RPMs to go.

My car made 530 bone stock on a Mustang and it does NOT break the tires loose once they are warm.

Steve
it would be interesting to take a car and do back-to-back pulls on the Dynojets and Mustang. Another issue, from personal experience (over 100 pulls on G1/G2)
, the Dynojets is very repeatable and the Mustang output relies a lot on the operator,

Good point on the max rpm. The problem is, the dynojet is run up to the peak and let off, the mustang is typically held at diff plateaus for 3 seconds. That last comment is based upon experience with one speed shop, however, that shop has tuned several Nascar winners.

I wouldn't be concerned. Every dyno in our area will most likely give you different reaults. Especially Mustang vs DynoJet.
Best way to tell, go run the 1/4 and see what your mph is.

They can be red hot at this point and if I want to put down a set of check marks all I have to do is roll into the pedal a little more. Like I said before another 60 whp to get to 590 whp and the fun goes out the window. A melting ice cube on the road and it will be all over.

Yeah. I wouldn't worry too much about that dyno number. It sounds like the power is there.....
