So a friend and I will be heading out to Globe for lunch Sunday, May 24th. If anybody would like to join us you're more than welcome. We'll take the quick route along AZ60. The route back will take us along the Salt River, following AZ88/188, then up to the Beeline Highway(AZ87) and then back into the city.

I'm big into kayaking and have yet to go since I moved out here. The purpose of this scenic drive is to check out the boat launches/camping potential along the salt river lakes(Theodore Roosevelt, Apache, Canyon and Saguaro lakes). In other words there will be lots of detours/photo ops.

If you're bored on Sunday, gimme a buzz and join us. I'll be leaving about 10:30AM from the Chevron at the intersection of McKellips and Hayden. My number is 716-485-3314

Do you keep your soft top folded in your trunk on trips like that or do you leave it home and trust the weather report?

That's great man. Some awesome pics and the weather was great. I'm assuming as the weather down here was gorgeous. I would have made it but I had a different drive to do that was kinda important to me for personal reasons. Impromptu drives are great though. Come down to Tucson so we can run Lemmon. Perhaps we can do it when VomBomb is out here so we can show a new member a good time.

Great pics LF. Thought about joining you but didn't think you could keep up. :-) Actually had another commitment that day. I agree with VB, impromptu drives are good. Keep throwing them out there. If people can make it they will. I thought of doing it a few times myself.

Great pics! Would also have liked to have taken a ride but had to build a shed...to store the stuff from the garage...to make room for my newly-acquired toy. Catch you next time! Andy

Hi Andy,
Welcome back! You will remember many of the older members and we have quite a few new and enthusiastic young members too. We look forward to seeing you at future club events.

I rarely carry the top for day trips like this. If the weather is not going to cooperate, i don't go. These cars aren't much fun in the rain anyways.

If he throws us some details about his trip we can probably work something out. Although i will be out of state the second and fourth weekends of June.
