The positives:

When I first saw the car at the dealer after Reliable dropped it off, I was amazed. The most beautiful car I've ever seen. Every time I look at it I feel lucky to own it. Also, gunmetal pearl is going to be so much easier than black to care for. Very happy with this choice.

The fit and finish is first class. I've had 6 corvettes, a Porsche 911 and a BMW M car, and this puts them all to shame.

The electronic and performance gadgets are amazing. Can't think of anything i would really want that the car doesn't have. The back up camera is essential. I have the power seats which come with the GT. I have to have them all the way down and all the way back, so not really much of an advantage compared to the manuals.

The steering and braking are absolutely phenomenal. This is a nicely dressed race car. I'm busy but really hope to get to the track a few times over the summer.

Unending grip, and minimal tread noise (drowned out by the engine anyway). You definitely notice tramlining.

Fairly generous cargo space considering. I need to be able to put a hockey bag in, no problem.

The torque and exhaust note are intoxicating.

I love the thick steering wheel.

My arthritic left knee loves the clutch effort, especially compared to my Shelby. I'm assuming it's hydraulic.

The seats are so comfortable and supportive. The cockpit feel is like nothing I've ever sat in.

The AC is typical powerful and American. The car could be a meat locker if you maxed it out.

The negatives:

I need the seat lowering kit. I have to crane my head down to see when the light is turning green, and I'm only 6'1".

Ingress/egress- I'm not 20 anymore. Thank god for the covers over the exhaust tip, or I'd need a skin graft.

I can't get the Homelink to work. It's not me. I've been able to program every other car I've had, and my wife's cars as well. Frustrating considering egress, I don't want to have to get out this car any more than I absolutely have to.

The footwell is crowded. Today I clutched in and caught a bit of the brake pedal. Not good.

I know I'm going to get flamed for saying this, but the stereo is crap. When I try and turn it loud enough to hear it over the exhaust my ears aren't happy. It's tinny and flat. I'll fix that next week when my aftermarket system goes in.

Can't wait for the summer.

The crowded footwell is a carry over from the previous generations...I have to wear driving shoes to drive my Gen 4. If I wear normal tennis shoes, I'm always hitting the brake pedal when I don't want to.

Hey gpearl, I've had my Red 2013 GTS for a little over a week now, and I am in complete agreement with your points. With the stereo, I went into the EQ, raised the bass, lowered the mid, and treble. It seemed to help. That backup camera!!!!! I have never appreciated or used a feature so much in any vehicle I've ever owned. Sometimes I take the garbage out to the garage just to look at the car: It's a beauty to behold for sure. Enjoy!!!!

I had my car delivered with the TA alignment, and have zero tramlining, unlike my old Viper. I didn't drive with the standard alignment, so I can't comment further, maybe someone else can chime in.........

BTW, I have the seat lowering kit, and love it.

gpearl, until you get the seat lowering kit installed try looking into the reflection in the hood for the traffic lights colors. I've been doing this and it helps a lot. Do you have the 12 or 18 speaker set up? The home link problem could be the fault of the opener, older opener units may not link up.

You're only going to love it more! Best Viper yet, and a world class car, period. I always used to drive in my retired Asics running shoes. I finally bought some Puma driving shoes, and it makes all the difference in the world.

Make sure surround sound is turned on, as well as upping the treble/bass, leave midrange in the middle. That's how it's set in my 18speaker, and I have no problem overpowering the engine noise at volume setting of 18.

Before you bother with any seat kit , move the pedals up a ways, pull the seat up a notch ( if manual ) , or move it forward a bit ( if electric) and then move the seat angle back to touch the bulkhead. A lot of folks , using common sense, just get in the car and move the seat all the way back and that is as far as they go. Moving the seat before adjusting the seat angle sounds simple , but works for an awful lot of people. Enjoy the Snake!

Good advice. That is what I did. I'm 5' 11" and I've managed to get the seat adjusted sufficiently. It did take a bit of work, but it's all good now. With respect to the garage door opener. I was pleasantly surprised when our Steelcraft openers linked up as our house was built in '94, and I believe the openers are still the original units. They don't even make them anymore.

This was in my storage compartment, wrapped in thin plastic.

It is rubber, and on the other side there is a track map of Laguna Seca. Anyone know what it is?

This goes where the cupholders are, if you remove them?

That didn't take long. Thanks Brad.
