If the V6 Camaro is too much for you to handle, perhaps you shouldn't be working for Jalopnik.

Hmmm. just 20 seconds earlier he said the car was composed.....he may want to retract that statement.

I don't honestly.
There are so many self described auto "journalists" that think they know everything and are the next best thing to (insert name of your favorite REAL race car driver). It gets old watching the videos of the "know it alls".
LMAO I feel bad for the guy.

Glad he's not hurt though !

I feel bad for the guy too but it's almost like it was scripted by SNL or something. Truth truly is stranger than fiction.

You have it backwards though. Jalopnik is FULL of guys like this. Journalists with zero car guy credentials, zero driving credentials.

I would think anyone taking the car and the track seriously shouldn't be giving an interview while driving. Just cruising down the road, fine, but at the track, take it seriously then give the review.

Haha me too a little bit... (although still laughing too..)
step 1: assume the car can't hurt you because it's only a V6.
step 2: screw up, crash V6 mule.
step 3: call producer to tell her you won't finish piece on Camaro mule, get laughed at.
step 4: producer says, "go out on the street, record a standup describing what you did you dumbass; we're running the video of your crash"
step 5: realize you are totally screwed.

I have a producer on my staff who would have loved that call.. "you did what? were the cameras rolling? that's GREAT!!!"

Jalopy-nick, what did anyone expect? Those guys are arm chair quarterbacks behind the computer without any skills, I mean look at how far he wrenched the steering wheel around. What was GM thinking in giving them a mule?

And it was a lead-follow to boot. All he had to do was match the line and speed of the leader. It wasn't like he was out on his own on the track.
His face was definitely beet red though.

Not a fan of that guy, and not a fan of Jalopnik. GM already disliked Jalopnik, and they go wreck one of their cars... understeering through a corner.

Cold, street tires in a car really not setup for that. You can hear him pushing through every corner with his bravado increasing with each too...until he hits the wall.

Hopefully this gets the car companies to stop letting any idiot with a journalism degree that wants to write about cars from being given access to these vehicles.
Who want's to sign up to have him test drive your Viper next? It's a lot more composed then a 2016 Camaro.

Guy wasn't even wearing a helmet or any other safety equipment.
Either he lied about his driving ability/experience level to get to do the laps, or Chevy really was taking it easy and he was just that bad.
Or both.
