I have put 60 miles on my Viper and I have noticed that no matter how long I drive, the idle at stop lights, etc never drops below 1000 rpm's. Is this normal for the V-10? Seems high to me but since I have never owned a Viper, it may be normal.
Thank You

It idles at 1000 for the first 750-1000 miles, I can't remember which.
After 1000 it goes down to normal idle

My car did the same thing til around 800 miles or so. Now it idles 700-800 rpm so I agree with the above statements.

The car idles high for the first 1000 miles. They had to do that because of how tight the rings are. That's right from dick winkles himself.

Normal. You'll be sad once it idles down, the idle note gets much quieter, too. Haha

When the idle drops under 1000 & you want to experience it again (for a little while) add the arrow PCM...:orange:
