Nice. Doesn't really look like there is a lot to "spiff" up in the engine bay unfortunately.

Great mods! But if this engine bay is boring then the new 991 Porsches will put you into a deep sleep!! Lol

No kidding. First mod I recommend is clear bra, second is a 6 point harness install, and third is a high performance driving school to modify the nut behind the wheel!
Sorry, not engine bay related...but I just couldn't resist :)

The engine bay looks awesome!!! I plan to paint my X brace and covers to match my car as well. It is on my "To Do List".
Did you do it all yourself or ship it out?

To me my Viper engine bay is boring. My SRT10 Ram engine bay looks great. Basically because i can see the motor. The long tube headers- ive got some chrome stuff.
The I think i might paint my X brace blue like my car. I like the white one above.

Yes. Cheap plastic valve covers,. The red is random looking, xbrace is ugly gray. for a 120k car id like some nicely done metal valve covers....not something you can find in a power wheels.

Right? I'm totally with you. I miss not seeing the valve covers.

What do the actual valve covers look like without the plastic valve cover covers on them? I've never seen them. And would it be possible to fab ones like the older Viper had? Wouldn't there be a market for that? I feel like a lot of the Gen V guys aren't super happy with the valve cover covers.

They are ugly...don't forget that those plastic covers also serve to quiet some of the valvetrain and injector chatter.

I run 20w50 in my SRT10 Ram. Really quiets down the chatter.

I'm not a fan of matching valve covers to the exterior paint color but I know some are. I like some contrast but I want it to be on purpose, unlike the random red we've got. Some day I'll take mine off and experiment with some color, I would like to see how changing the red to silver would look against my white car.

Can't stand the frilly plastic covers. Dodge should go back to the trademark bright red valve/coil covers.

The 8.0 litre is really the only Viper engine that looks exotic.
