I have a 2001 RT/10 that the original owner installed a chrome accessory over the front hood air duct. Is there a safe way of removing this chrome piece without harm to the paint or the finish? Need your input. Thanks.

If it's like the things I see on e-bay, it's probably stuck on with double sided trim tape. Use a heat gun to gently warm the tape, and use dental floss or fishing line as a saw to saw through the tape. Goo Gone, WD-40, or mineral spirits(the primary ingredient in WD-40) will help get tape residue off.
If it is actually glued, good luck. The heat gun is your best bet to get the glue to release, but you WILL damage the paint trying to get the adhesive off.
