I'm wondering if the ACR rear diffuser will fit on a SRT or does it use a new rear bumper.
Love the look makes the rear end pure sex!!!!!!!:t1567:

I believe the bumper, trunk, and front bumpers all have a lot of structural reinforcement to deal with the forces the diffuser and wing will put on it.

I'm wondering how much more the ACR weighs over the base? 125lbs?

Uh...Justin, that one behind the driver tire is a little off center and you know, SRT spent hours and hours in the wind tunnel testing the underbody of the new Viper. Are you sure that's not going to upset the airflow on the car????:lol2: I'm no fluid dynamics engineer, but just sayin.
Sorry man, couldn't resist hashing this again!! I found the guy on ebay you told me about and going to get some made up for mine without the cutouts.

Thanks guys. The ebay guy is super cool and the fins are really nice...
Per fin...I used two M8 X 1/4" stainless domed hex head bolts with ss washers and nylon lock nuts and I carefully riveted the rest in using stainless washers on both ends. Definitely learned a few things as I went. :)

The only thing I would want to keep in mind when installing these is the angle on the vanes. If you look at the ACR's rear vane angle, the outer ones are parallel to the ground, and the center ones are aimed slightly up. If you look at yours, it seems that the center ones are actually aimed down, which could have an adverse effect on down force. They are designed to help guide & transition the high velocity air from under the car to the non turbulent air around the car. So it basically slows the air down to avoid creating drag. With the fins angled too far down, you could actually be creating drag. Again I am no expert just observing as I attempt something similar on my car.

Thanks for the input. I was worried I wasn't putting my aerospace engineering / race car degree to work on this one.
The fins aren't huge by any means and I'd guess that at any speed under 100 they aren't doing much of anything other than looking cool. :)

It seems the outer ones are a bit taller than the inside ones, although it def looks better than no diffuser at all. Considering doing this, any updates on how they are holding up OP?

I have them installed on my car as well. All the blades are the same dimensions, but the outside blades you mentioned look "taller" because of the shape of the OEM diffuser. No issues with the quality of them.

The lower they go the better they work. The problem on the non-ACR cars is that the bottom panel is not flat. The key to getting them to work effectively is to make sure they fan out, in other words, the opening to the front should be smaller than the rear opening for any two fins. If you are not going 140, who cares if they work, they still look good.

The rear valance panel from the ACR will bolt up to a non ACR rear bumper cover. That valance comes with the Riv-nuts installed. You cannot put ACR Strakes on a non ACR valance because of its shape.

New rear diffuser looks so boss. I realize it's an extremely functional component but hafta agree on aesthetic value it adds back there. Looks very aggressive

I'm going much more than 140... so yes, I am trying to figure out if it's going to help or hurt before drilling the rear valence.

That was my point, if you want to go fast, make sure you align them correctly otherwise, thry might create positive pressure, versus, negative pressure.

Pretty sure extreme offers a kit for an ACR rear diffuser for non ACR cars. Also thought one of the Dubai vendors was working on an aftermarket option for those that want something very close to stock parts. I will be hunting down this stuff for myself next season.

Extreme has a kit however it runs about $5000, about the same as OEM parts but it is my understanding that it mounts up to your existing rear valance panel. you can see it on Crotalidae's car here,

you can also see what SilveRT8 did with the ebay diffuser strakes from a gen 4 for about $250

So finally, after you guys tested it, did somebody went above 140mph and noticed any difference in the behavior of the car? Mine is a Twin Turbo, so I'll reach 140mph and high speed a lot and pretty fast. I ordered them but I haven't installed them. What do you guys think I should do?

From what i know, Extremes is a very close repmica of the factory diffuser, alot of engineering and likely wind tunnel testing goes into these parts, the proper chanelling of high pressure to low in these diffusers allows for some serious low drag downforce. $300 fins are not going to achieve the same thing, i dow however admit they look good, but nowhere as good as the factory or the extreme.

Well that makes a lot more sense, especially if you're going to get to the speeds that i'll probably never do! Thanks

The Xtreme kit includes all hardware, drilling templates, and strakes which are not included in the OEM price (and no drilling template would be available). They are an exact replica of the ACR Extreme OEM diffuser.
