2015 Production

So after reading the thread about the short 15 run, I asked how many total 15's will be produced. Then in readind another thread I am GUESSING that the last 3 gives of the vin gives the production number for the year. If that is not correct please correct me. So... mine is 449, what does anyone have after that, just to see if we can get an idea of total 15's produced.

i just got 310 last week and waiting for 397 and 398. i think your car 375 should be built by now. my other two should be next week.

I saw on another thread that 361 is out for on truck. I paid for expidited shipping so shouldnt have the full truck bs delay.

During the Plant tour last week I took photos of the door to 370 being assembled... So it looks like 370-380 will be done this week

So far, FCA has reported 410 2015 vipers built through 3/31/15.

They've been building 95-100 per month the last 3 months, so when they report April production in two weeks, the total through April 30th will be about 500-510

CAAP does a summer shutdown. When I contacted the CAAP last week, they said they will be shut down while I'm visiting Michigan July 2-6. I'm not sure how long the shutdown is, but I think it's typically 2 weeks.

You need to subscribe to Automotive News to see production info, they list all OEM's model specific monthly info around the 15th of each month.

US Retail Sales numbers can be found for free via FCA's monthly press release (or if you subscribe Auto-News )

Nothing new , here , the Plants shutdown for 2 weeks in July every year to gear up for the following model year start. It is not just CAAP, and build is usually set for months ahead , so an order now may not even start the build process till late July.

This would be somewhat unprecedented for the 2016's to actually start being built on a "normal" schedule wouldn't it? Don't they usually start production much later in the year typically?
