Haha, it's not too bad. My '06 coupe was actually lower than my orange car. I raised it 1/4" when I put on the 360Forged wheels because it was rubbing due to the more aggressive offset over my previous Forgelines.

I really like your first picture. That's a great idea I might rip-off: to show the view of one car from the other car. I also have a Wrangler and I really like it! I was able to fit all of this in my JKU:
- 1 set of mounted wheels and tires, used
- 1 set of unmounted new wheels
- 1 set of unmounted new tires

The ever versatile JKU! Had a '97 TJ prior to this, needed more space for two kids. I thought the angles from the Jeep were interesting. I had 3 GoPro's mounted to the Jeep. Two on the side, and one on the rear.

I did not change the key ring, window stiches, mirror switch, or AC controls. I swapped in LEDs for the gauges, rearview mirror, footwell, fogs, DRLs, side ambers, and reverse lights. I changed the bulbs on the AC controls on my last Viper (which changed the color to a bright sky blue), but it really annoyed me that radio was still green...so I quickly changed back the AC controls to the OEM lights.

Cool quick video. I remember seeing the GoPro stills you posted last week and was wondering if a video would follow.

20x13 rear, 20x10.5 front I think? HREs were on the car when I bought it. Originally had caps and eibachs. I sold and swapped those out for BCs, which I've always loved. Taiwan stuff is good, been there for work and I'm amazed at the quality vs cost. Set right on middle of the 30 click adjustment I think. Tire rubs fender on bad bumps but I know my area and can avoid it most of the time.

I also have the rear tow hooks which scrape on bumps. Makes lots of noise but helps me know how close/how bad things were when I hit bumps

NA cars are much more consistent and don't have the heat soak issues like a Paxton does. My car trapped 131mph in 50 degree weather, but then only trapped 128mph in 70 degree weather. I never ran it during the summer to see how big of a difference that made.

All of it has to do with the torque/power curves. Paxton cars that make in the 700whp range are on the stock motor and are not spinning the huge blower (paxton 2500) to its efficiency range (low boost). Because of this, their power delivery tends to be more peaky, rather than an NA motor which comes on the power instantly and makes use of the broad area in its curve. You also tend to add weight with the blower itself/heat exchangers/etc. So the NA cars tend to be lighter to boot. Combine all of this together and throw in environmental conditions that tend to affect supercharged cars in a greater way, and it makes for some surprising results.

Sexy car slowhatch. Did you use spacers? I saw a pic on here recently of the Gen III 10 spoked with a spacers on it and I was surprised how mean it looked. I may do it myself.

And per your heads/cam comment. I tend to agree with you. I was shocked at the difference exhaust made on my 06 and next up will be some good heads (everybody loves good heads). But as I understand it, gen IIIs really take to the heads/cam

After all the problems I had with that car, it was a sigh of relief. I didn't have any issues with the car after the 2nd motor build, but the worry was always in the back of my mind and it just sucked the fun right out of driving it.

Thanks :) It was a 5-second exposure. I had never shot lightning before so I tried shorter and longer ones and it seemed like 5 seconds was the most effective

I don't know if it falls into that theory of "It always looks nicer when it's someone else's" or if it's just that the ride height makes it look that much more incredible??? Yeah I added 12mm front spacers and 19mm rear adapters to help bring the wheels out closer to the fender edge. I don't like how sunken in the OEM wheels are. But that picture above was only with 10/12mm spacers at the time.

Yeah they will rub slightly when using 3/4" spacers in the rear like Ryan is using. Just takes a little trimming on the huge inner fender lip and its all good even at lowered height. Ive tried every combination there is and you can go as aggressive as 3/4" front and 1" rear with proper fender lip trimming and be fine. I usually go more aggressive with mine and do the 3/4" and 1" combo

Thanks! It's the APR one. Install kind of stunk cause I got it second hand so I didn't have any of the "preferred" hardware. I ran to a hardware store and picked up some stainless bolts, I think APR ships it with larger rivets so you could install it without taking the bumper off. I ended up removing the entire bumper which actually I felt made it easier to line up and get it placed where I felt it looked best. I'm hoping to add the Autoform TA spoiler this winter.

Eurotech carbon fiber lip. The wheels were perfect! I've tried buying them back from the 2 owners after I sold the car, but neither one will give in.

I bought a 2008 Convertible last year. I am never happy with stock, so took the winter to plan out and upgrade a few things. My main drive was to keep everything looking stock, or quickly able to return to stock without any cutting that couldn't be fixed.

No major performance upgrades, mainly electronics. Here's a timeline post of the new electronics. I have explored many options about upgrading the stereo - double din units never look stock to me (I have done several custom installs with them), and would have preferred an android tablet - but the interface is poor without a separate DAC, and volume control. The iPads simply interface better with aftermarket stereo equipment, and function as a mass media storage device (unlike Android systems >2.3). I even tried grafting climate controls to save space from other Chrysler vehicles, but the PCI/CANBUS systems were not compatible. I found a few circular A/C vents that were smaller that would have allowed for less cutting of the A/C controls, but they all looked funny and not stock, and didn't save much room. Overall, the radar setup works very well, and the stereo system is far better than stock, and can be heard nicely at highway speed with the top down.

Getting ready for NVE2 by adding a SiriusXM radio to the copperhead. Now I know I could have just bought a module for the RB1 to get a cleaner install but this radio I was able to snag on eBay for $175 and it has the lifetime subscription on it. Mounted it to the speaker grill on the drivers side, connected to a PAC Aux2Car (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007CK30I?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00)
using the PHXCH3 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007TXP6A?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00) adapter cable to plug it into the changer port on the RB1. Only downside is that when you use it the display flips between 01:00 and 02:00 constantly which is kind of annoying. I'll just need to get a nav disk finally so I don't see that ever and just leave it on the nav screen.

And since i paid too much and knew i finally bought the one im gonna keep a while i decided to spend crazy money on her and go all out. You should see the interior. Almost every inch has been custom done in black alcantera with yellow stitching(lots of diamond stitching too) Even has custom stitched seat belts 😃
