Looks great; but, reminds me of a Ferrari 458 with more scoops.

I am really curious to know where McLaren is going. Going for the $180k market is a real departure from where they are now.
I wonder if they'll abandon the $300k price point and push this segment of the market.

I keep trying to love it, I just don't know. Some parts for me are a home run. I can't really say but I was expecting to be wowed. .I'm not.

Looks a little "lotus-ey" to me. I frickin love their other offerings. It's interesting that maclaren didn't put out a car for years and now they can't seem to stop.

Don't know why, just doesn't do anything for me?

Once you have driven one, you will understand. This is a very focused but very functional car, a real pleasure to drive, you feel at home and confident after the first test drive.

Agreed, truly amazing cars to drive.

I'd love to drive one of these someday (or a 12C for that matter)... I don't like the styling as much as Italians or Aston, but I'd like to "get it"

I like all of their cars. Their design is fresh, and certainly their own. I'm not fully digging the front view of this model, it looks smiley/happy and not as intimidating as the other models they have. Looks better in darker colors though.

650s not smiley.

P1, the original and still my favorite.

Not sure why but it reminds it makes me think it was built by Volkswagen looking at it.

The rear kind of looks like a Cayman to me, maybe that's why?
I'm sure this will greatly help McLaren's depreciation! I don't know why they don't stick to one model just a bit longer instead of releasing new stuff every year, or so it seems.
I was talking to Dan about this in his shop, one thing I appreciate about McLaren drivers is that they drive their cars. I've seen one parked on the street (overnight) a few blocks away from my house at least 2-3 times. Not like those Ferrari owners...
Actually a bargain. Wonder if the $180G price tag will significantly drive sales. Are they limiting production to a relatively small number?

Not like those Ferrari owners...
Most of us have more than 1 car in the stable. Same thing can be said with other exotic brands.

That might be the case but Ferrari owners are still renown for not driving their cars much. A look at the used exotic listings will show that other exotics have a higher average mileage than Ferraris.

I like it. I think they are trying to do what Lamborghini did with the Gallardo and get a crapload of sales.

It's a nice car. Got up close with it yesterday. The orange one they brought was part of their special vehicle program (dunno what they call that exactly) but it featured exposed carbon down the middle. Interior is quite nice. They have some interesting aero bits on the doors back by the air intakes on either side.
P1 GTR and 675LT where there too. The 570 should sell pretty well.

Why did you sell them?

I'd love to see at least one of the American car manufacturers come up with a nice mid engine V8 offering somewhere between this and a Cayman in the $100k range. Make them in that orange.

Recently checked out one in person at lake forest sports cars outside of Chicago. Sticker was only 207k. Looked great, really.
