IIRC, Arrow is tuned for 93 octane, will CA 91 octane be fine? I want to do PCM/Headers

Yes, but you'll have to have a booster like Torco, something like 8oz/gal to get you in the right range. I'd be more concerned with passing emissions in CA. You'd have to keep original controller and swap it out every time. If that's not an issue for you, then party on!

The car will NOT be emissions legal if you get the Arrow PCM. Is that an issue for you in CA?

We are talking about the "Peoples Republic of California" where the gas tax is 60 cents a gallon, while Mobil Oil is CRUCIFIED for trying to make 7 cents a gallon, as I like to register and drive my car, I will live vicariously through others who are fortunate to be able to perform hp upgrades on their cars........:drive:

The PCM will work fine with the 91, the knock sensors are still active and the controller will pull timing if needed. We have run cars with it and headers on 91 and have not had any issues or even timing being pulled. Will it work better with 93+ sure, but you don't need it to enjoy your Viper on the road with some spirited driving. If you plan on track days though your best bet for performance and protection would be to mix 95-100 octane race fuel with the 91 or run straight 95 unleaded race gas at the track.

I don't mind swapping the PCM for emission testing. Just want to be sure it's not a constant requirement to run 93+

The nearest gas station that sells 100 octane is about a 45 min drive

Thanks for replies
