Hyper black wheels

I have hyper black wheels ordered just like in the pic. Does the black start in the center of the wheel and then fade to silver toward to outer part of the wheel or is the wheel one color? I am not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling on those wheels and wondering if I should have gotten matte black. They seem to make the car too pretty and the Matte black looks meaner. Never seen the hyper black in person, so I really don't know.

So are they black like the center of the wheel and the outer edge is a shadow that looks silver? If it is black, I will be able to handle that.

It does not look black. Silvery-pearl-gunmetal faces, dark inners. The name 'Hyper-Black' is a misnomer. Even if 'BLACKISH' was a color, this ain't it! But a much-complimented wheel in person.

SRT didn't do a good job in naming the finish of the wheels. Matte black is anything but, they're not even satin, they are simply gloss black, ame I love them. The hyper black aren't, they're a slightly dark silver, but plainly silver, not black, hyper silver would be a better color name. They look great too, but if you are thinking 'black' in any way, it's not the hyper black.

Black will always look meaner!!! It's just harder to keep them cleaner. I had 2 sets of matte black wheels on my daily driver before finally switching to a matte graphite wheel... love'em! This being said, I went with the matte on my 2.0 purchase because it'll be driven only on the weekends and garaged.

If you decide that you just aren't feeling the hyper, you could:
1. Order some aftermarkets in a black with a 10mm more aggressive offset.
2. Powder coat your oem's in a black
3. Powder coat your oem's in a matching blue with black center caps and black lug nuts.

I would imagine that is a pretty trick paint job to do instead of painting them solid black. May look better than I expect.

They Hyper Black wheels have a gloss black inner barrel that makes the outer finish, which is the "hyper" part just pop. It's a "gun metal, smoke" or whatever else people want to call it.

This is my former SSG with black wheels. Hard to believe what a difference, color of wheels make. Yours looks better than I would have expected. Nice ride.

I don't find the SW2 in matte black hard to clean at all, because they're not matte, they're glossy. Dirt barely shows, and cleaning them, the dirt comes off, I just bathed my beauty yesterday. It's no fun cleaning any wheel, but .. I have had matte black wheels, I did have matte on my GT500 and refinished them in satin back, matte black, real matte, can be a pain, soon as they get dirty they look like brake dust. I find satin or glossy (like the SW2s) to be pretty easy. Of course throw some ceramic sealer on there and it's silly easy.

I used to hate black wheels, was in to chrome, then polished, then silver/anthracite, then I got into silver cars with black wheels, no it's like hot sauce, I put the sh!t on everything, all my vehicles came with or I refinished in a black finish.

Jon, i DO NOT want Black! I'm looking for that Gun Metal look or maybe the Black Chrome (i haven't figured out if these look like a darker shade of chrome or if they look closer to black) but i know i don't want the Black Shiny or Matte! Maybe you can Clarify this up for me so i know what looks like what, its hard to tell unless you see some of these on your car & i'm pretty sure i'm Not going to see any of these on a car like mine! :(
