Today I came across a very good deal at Walmart for Mobil 1 0W-40. For in-store pickup only, Walmart offers a selection of Mobil 1 5-Quart Synthetic Oil from $26.68. (0W-40 Advanced Full Synthetic) There is $12 mail-in rebate cuts the starting price to $14.68. You can get up to 10-Quarts and get the $12 rebate for each 5-Quart bottle. Rebate expires May 31.
I am attaching the rebate form to go with your purchase. Timing is great for those wishing to change their oil during the Maintenance event next weekend.

$3 per quart for Mobil1 0W-40 is insane. Need to get a couple jugs.
Thank you for the heads-up!

Rebate is good through May 31, so no rush.
Odd though, local Walmart price went up $4 on 5 quart container in the last month.
Many thanks for posting the form!!!!

I use 0 -40 in my gen II but I thought its not really recommended? I know the oem oil is 10-30w but I seem to remember (i think) Mr Winkles talking about using something like 10-50?

That would make sense if you're tracking the car. Otherwise, 0W-40 seems to be an excellent choice. And cheap with the rebate.

Did anyone else seem confused with the verbiage on Mobil one's website.. https://mobiloil.com/en/promotion/mobil-promotions/up-to-15-dollars-off-with-mobil-1-and-mobil-super#retailers
Half way down the site I listed it reads: "Purchase the eligible products at a participating retailer (listed below) between March 1, 2015, and May 31, 2015." It does not list Walmart on the list, but it also states "Some participating retailers include:" Anyone actually had success with the rebates when buying the oil at Walmart?

I actually called the 800# and was told yes, WallyWorld is an eligible retailer! I usually hit Walmart late night to avoid the crowds. Zip in, zip out!

Thanks... just did this for my GenII. I suppose it will take 6 or 8 weeks for the rebate to show up but I'll grab a bite to eat and a few drinks when it does.

Got my rebate quickly. Only 3 days left guys!
I did mail mine in since the paper form had options for rebates on two jugs. Online only had option for a single jug rebate.

Finally got my rebate, so I guess Walmart is covered under this rebate program. 10qts for $26 isn't a bad deal.

It doesn't matter when you go to Walmart...you will always see at least one barefoot, crying child. That is a scientific fact.
Actually, I find if you are there during the day, often times you can get in and out quickly through the garden center . Though I do try and keep my Wally world trips to a minimum. Every time you go there, your soul dies a little inside. Also a scientific fact. BUt damn if they don't have killer deals on Mobil one. No auto parts store can even touch em. At least here in the southwest. iDK about other regions.

Mobil 1 Rebate (Until Oct 31, 2015)
Last March (2015) Donna G posted a link to where Mobil Oil was giving up to $15.00. Apparently they are doing it again. Offer expires Oct 31, 2015. Here is the link: https://mobiloil.com/en/promotion/mo...nd-mobil-super
You can even upload your receipt via their site and save money on a stamp and time with the US Postal Service. Last time I purchased two 5-gallon containers from Wally-World very cheap...sent in the receipt and received the rebate. Hope this helps.

Thanks CV. Here is a link that works (https://mobiloil.com/en/promotion/mobil-promotions/up-to-15-dollars-off-with-mobil-1-and-mobil-super).
Two rebates per household (https://apfco.net/secure/R8235W/Home/Terms). I mailed my two in last time and got a quick turnaround.
