Anyone found a Lockpick or Jailbreak type device that works on the Viper? These devices allow nav entry while moving, remove the stupid warning messages, allow backups cameras to work while moving, etc etc.
Seems both those companies have devices that work for all Chrystler vehicles with the 8.4 uConnect besides the Viper. Lockpick said it won't work with manual transmission cars, Jailbreak just emailed me a link to the RAM Jailbreaks... Wondering if anyone has found something that works to unlock the NAV system.

I'm waiting on an ACR - that solves the problem by removing all that techno-crap :)

I wonder what a manual transmission would have to do with anything? The NAV lockout is based on a speed signal, not a park signal. Should be basically an identical unit between the 2 transmission types. I wonder if CoastalTech has even tried testing one out on a Viper?

You're going to be disappointed then. This isn't like removing a stereo from a Gen 1, it's all too integrated to remove the touch screen. They'd have to do something like install the hvac control from a Wrangler to get it to work without the screen and I doubt that's happening.

According to CoastalTech, the nav unit isn't different but the software for manual transmission cars is different and it won't work. I asked them if I could get a unit from another car with a 8.4 uConnect and they guaranteed me it wouldn't work.

That sucks. And it is probably pretty minor software differences that they could easily adjust for to make a product specific to the Viper. But from their perspective I could see why they wouldn't do it. Not worth the time to do it for the incredibly small market.
