Is the Gas Guzzler Tax, deductable? I would hate to throw away a $2600 screwing. Looking for an answer before I see my accountant next week.

Not on an individual's Federal 1040. Not sure about your state though.

Dodge gave us a $500 rebate on the Gas Guzzler Tax, its only $2100 for the 2015 Models. That jump from 21 to 22 for HWY mileage saved us some Jack.

the criminal part about the GG tax is, you get taxed sales tax on top of the GG since it is included with MSRP

nothing like taxing a tax.

The "$500 rebate" is probably due to the revised transmission ratios (taller 5th and 6th or just 6th?) for non-TA 2015 Vipers. I prefer the closer ratios in my 2014 GTS and these would be unavailable on a 2015 GTS.

Is the GG tax on the 2015 TA, different than non-TA?

Nope, not deductible. I am a CPA (specialize in tax and oil and gas)... Any other CPA's on this forum?

My base SRT had a lower $2,100 GGT as well - I thought I had read the revised gearing was for the GT and GTS only... No idea.

NH is such a terrible place to live but they at least lure you in with a couple things to ease the pain. No seat belt law and no sales tax, the latter making it much cheaper with my car addiction...

Yes sir! However, I specialize in Financial Statements, Accounting and Internal Controls, Financial Planning, Auditing and Fraud.

Going for my CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) license this year.

How's your busy season going? I'm getting killed between day to day and preparing our share of our Corp Taxes.

You could buy a TESLA! Just as fast as a Viper in some categories, and several States+Fed pay YOU multiple tax incentives to buy one!

[They took my GGT and paid it to Tesla Owners.........]

Good to see Im not the only one on here!
Busy season is good. Ordered a 2015 Viper to have something to keep my mind off the busy time!
Fraud Examination would be fun. Money never lies and always leaves a trail!
