Well as most of you know as soon as I got it I did a nice first round of mods which was

-American Racing headers
-American Racing full 3" exhaust, with no cats
-smooth tube intake tubes
-K&N drop in filter
-Underdrive pulley
-tune
-spring caps, lowering

These results fucking rocked! Car made 59x/56x on motor and pump gas without getting aggressive with it at all. Well now I've grown a little tired of that so we started on the nitrous install and its turned out awesome so far! Dyno time scheduled for this coming Friday, hopefully weather clears Thursday and I'll actually be able to drive it there. DFW has been getting hammered for weeks now. New parts include.

-Nitrous Outlet dual plate system
-Nitrous Outlet dedicated fuel system, to supply the nitrous
-NOS launcher nitrous control, with touch screen
-CCW 18" wheels on all 4 corners, Nitto NT05 front tires and MT 345/35/18 rears.

We've got it jetted at 200-ish, if all goes well it should be a blast! Bought all the parts from Lydia at American Body works in Lewisville Tx, John at Anything Automotive has done all the work on the car and James Karger from Calibrated by Karger tunes it. I've been VERY happy with this camp so far, pretty excited for this weekend! Sorry I don't have any numbers yet, I know the Viper community is use to estimates with little to no results. But I'll be posting up what happens on the dyno regardless of good or bad!

You have done the exact same mods as I have planned. Can you post a couple more pictures of the dedicated fuel cell? That was the only unknown I was facing when piecing the nitrous together. I was also thinking a 150/200 shot. The car should take that all day.

Do you haw a purge on it? Where are you spraying it? I was thinking in purging through the vents in the hood, but wasn't sure about routing the line with the hood opening the way it does.

thank you for sharing your build with us.

Purge is routed through the wiper cowl. The first pic is actually a video on photo bucket of it. Nitrous outlet built the standalone for it, which they can replicate for a Gen5, goes really great in the front passenger side of the bumper.

Are you using a pressure transducer for bottle pressure. They work far better than thermostats.

Jack, Will knows more about huge HP builds (TT, N20, Supercharged, Single Turbo) than you or I, I would bet. He's been around a long time with multiple XXXXhp builds if he wants it setup that way it's probably for a good reason.

Will is definitely a nitrous "Junkie". Higher bottle pressure does lean A/F ratio a tiny bit, but talking decimal points. Not usually a big deal since most recommended jet combos are conservatively rich. The 1100-1200 bottle makes them run better :)

Jack B
03-06-2015, 02:19 PM
Not trying to take away from a fantastic looking setup. Just passing on info, the pressure transducer can be set at any pressure. Hard to believe, but, there is knowledge outside of Texas.

The difference fronm1000 to 1200 psi is over a 1/2 point, I have dozens of logs from my G1 and G2 that show just that in the 1/4 mile. That is based on both a 200 and 350 shot.

Jack no body said your info was wrong, but that Will "Junkie" knows this already (what added Bottle pressure does to AF) and is choosing on his own to run his setup the way he wants.

Guys, this car fucking rocks! 93 in the tank, C16 in the cell. We made 615whp on motor with the hood closed, pulled some timing and the car still makes over 600whp on a nitrous tune up :)

900-950psi in the bottle and the car put down 804/815, then James cleaned it up a bit and it put down 805/833. I'm fucking impressed, 800+whp on the flip of a switch, in a car that drives like its bone stock. Hard to beat that imo.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqDaTe3u2fI

I didn't grab a print out, mainly because I don't really care about dyno numbers lol. But I'll probably get one soon, or re dyno on 250+ jets once I put a clutch/tires in the car.

Big thanks to John @ anything automotive. I wish I could show you guys how clean every detail of this nitrous install is! Dave @ Nitrous Outlet, just like everything else he sends me, it works great and looks even better. James @ Calibrated by Karger, tune up took less than 5 total hits with both motor and spray, bad ass!

After the retune, what were your gains and where?

From 3800-4800 I gained 60rwhp and 58ftlbs of torque, peak through the middle. On Torries Tune I saw roughly 30rwhp and 30ftlbs of torque through the same area.

Also the car was going into limp mode so we put all of the throttle tables back to stock and I haven't had the problem sense. I know that he (Torrie) now does that though on his tunes, there is a learning curve with all of this and it's by no means Torries fault we are all figuring it out together.

Factory clutch + 345/35/18 MT drag radials + sticky track + 850tq = burnt the fuck up factory clutch lol! Didn't even get one pass and it smoked, worked great from a roll but dead stop stuff it got real fucked real fast.

I'm hoping I can get my hands on the BBG clutch I bought very soon, we'll see. If not there is a local place (Powerhouse Racing) that says I can get one of theirs soon.

How well did the CCW's fit the car?

Any updates on this. Junkie I just finished up doing a half mile event and love your set up. I need to put a hurt on some C7 Z06's hell even the C7 is trapping 167 MPH. My best run was 149.9 MPH.

I have a BBG triple in my garage with BBG hydraulics and everything with very low miles. 500-600 if anybody wants it. Its a good clutch but just too race car for my liking. My car is back on a factory twin disc from JonB at Partsrack!

I didn't realize I hadn't updated this thread. Here are some pics of the car on CCW's.

Here is an updated thread on some racing event progress on the car.

The car has gotten jetted back down, I've been daily driving it since the event actually. Its on a 250 shot and 93 octane now, also going to a 335/30/18 Hoosier drag radial this week to test out. Should help balance out the change to 3.07's

Awesome, I love that you have owned so many different fast cars and you are having so much fun with this one.
