Hi Guys,

I have posted this in the GEN I/II section of the forum but it was suggested that I also post it here due to its location at the dealer selling it, thanks -

I am based in the UK, I used to own a RT/10 in the 90's and am looking to get back into Viper ownership and am quite keen on the below car and was wondering if there is anyone local to this dealer that would kindly go and give it the once over as I am a little nervous at spending this kind of money without actually seeing it, although I have been speaking with the dealer and it does sound like a nice example.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dodge-Viper-FINAL-EDITION-DAYTONA-VERY-RARE-AUTOFORM-DAYTONA-EIDITON-FINAL-EDITION-GTS-COUPE-1-OF-9-/131438554776?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1e9a592e98&item=131438554776&pt=US_Cars_Trucks

I did notice a small bit of damage in the picture below but I have been assured that the rest of the car is in excellent condition, I am a fussy sod so it needs to be pretty much in mint condition.

Here are a few pictures Maurice Liang took in 2011 of the same car as it was part of his club, minus the front splitter-

Any assistance would be much appreciated,

Thanks,
Paul.

This car is listed on Feviper.com if you are looking for more info. I have an fe acr but honestly don't know a lot about these Daytona cars. I would ask If the original red stich shift knob is still there . Good luck

Post this in the central Cali region. I'm a NorCal guy and that is a few hours away. If I head that way though I'll look it over.

I think the listing name is Marv....and Marv has been around Vipers since the originals came into build....he also deals with many exotics as well...I think Marv knows the cars...my $.02

Looks like it Marv Rose from dodgevipersforsale.com. I bought my first one from him. I have nothing but good things to say about him and his cars. He only deals in cherry cars. I found him totally fair to deal with. Prices were really fair considering he saved me having to fly out there and check it out, etc. he basically only sells Vipers and Ford GTs with the occasional other exotic thrown in there. He's a good guy and knows his way around vipers. When I bought my 2002 in summer of 09, it had 17k Miles on it and people thought it was brand new.

Thanks guys, yes I have only heard good things about Marv and dodgevipersforsale.com which is re-assuring, it would still be nice to get someone to give it the once over if possible, I will try posting in the Central California forum, I had no idea that California was so big :-)
Cheers,

Sorry Guys, must be something lost in translation, what do you mean by this?

"Once you drive through it from tip to tip... you wonder wtf it's not it's own country." ?

California length tip-to-tip approx 800 miles. Great Britain, approx=600 miles. Plus, it acts like it is its own country from a unique government regulation and taxation standpoint.

Because it's such a long drive, and the topography changes quite a few times, just makes you feel like you should have passed through 3 states in the time you've taken to get from San Diego to Redding. I remember after 7 hours of driving going: what part of Oregon am I in... "Welcome to Redding, CA"... :furious:

That and given it's ridiculous laws, be it gun laws or emission laws, it really acts like it's a different country.

Got it, :witless: I thought you were talking about going through the car from tip to tip :D

Well I'll be passing by there on the 26th. If you still need someone to look there will be a few of us there at that time.

I have a friend who says that instead of building a fence between Arizona and Mexico we should build one between Arizona and California.

California is like breakfast cereal. It's full of flakes and nuts. : ) of course, our Viper owning brethren are the exception that proves the rule. You guys rock. And remember, every time you do a burnout, a hippie dies a little inside.

They have even made laws making certain size televisions illegal. And don't forget the light bulbs they made illegal. Pretty soon, people are going to pack the lightbulbs in weed to throw off the light bulb sniffing dogs because the weed will be legal but the incandescescents won't be. Ha. Wacky California. Though I will say, many parts of California are gorgeous. My brother lives on a boat in Marina Del Rey and it's beautiful. And the weather can't be beat. It's definitely is a bit like its own country thouh at times. Almost to the point of feeling like it has its own currency. The Arizona dollar just doesn't seem to exchange favorably against the California dollar. I'm glad I can stay with my brother when I am there cause it is an expensive place to live.

So, that's the sort of thing he meant, Fatboy 18. In fact, if it were to be its own country, I believe it would be the 8th largest economy in the world. I think somewhere near there IIRC.

I like that, I am new here from the Bay Area, as you can see from my avatar I love to stick it to the greenies who flock around you on their bicycles as they are "saving the planet".
