View Full Version : Really great Viper owner in Nebraska killed in vehicle accident!

Frank Besch , who was one of the most enthusiastic Viper owners in Nebraska was killed in a vehicle accident last evening during a sleet and ice storm. Frank was a passenger in an employee's SUV that spun in horrible weather, rolled numerous times and both Frank and the driver succumbed to injuries from the accident. Frank was super excited about the new Regional Club starting and had been active in many of our informal get togethers and ran as often as he could at various track events. An infectious individual , Frank always made sure everyone around him was having fun, and over the years I knew him I never saw him angry or say an unkind thing about anyone. He will be sorely missed as a wonderful friend and I ask everyone to put his wife , Sandy, and his family in your prayers and thoughts.

God Bless you Frank, you will be missed so very much!!

Respectfully,

Bill Pemberton

Frank was on of the 11 who joined our group on NOV 18th He is Member #196. Frank owned a GEN IV SSG vert and attended many events. He will be missed by us all. Frank was a great guy to hang around and had incredible energy.

Crossroads of America, I will send out an email tonight about this unless you have it covered Bill.

Our thoughts are with his family and I am sure we will have a Memorial for him and something on the website here to remember.

All of us from Crossroads of America really appreciate the show of support the VOA has given us. IT is such an exciting time for our newly found region and Frank was a Charter member starting from the ground up. He has tremendous energy and we will not let his passing slow our enthusiasm for being a great Region. His passing will inspire us to be stronger.

Frank will always be a member

Thanks VOA for your strong support.

Thanks for all the kind words for Frank and his family. Memorial service is tomorrow, but we are looking to remember Frank in a special way to honor his spirit and fun loving nature. We want to do something appropriate at the 2014 Viper Rendezvous to help remember the charismatic character Frank was and the joy he imparted to those around him!

The Funeral Home was filled beyond the Chapel, clear out into the hallways, vestibule and a side room, as Frank's friends came to wish him farewell. His Viper was parked out front and it was just one symbol of a gentleman who lived his life to the fullest and was acknowledged to have enriched alot of people with his infectious humor and positive attitude. One friend speaking of the various fun times in Frank's life, reiterated about when he sold off his problematic Cadillac XLR and purchased his 08 Viper Convertible from us. He said upon arriving home, Frank went up to his wife ( Sandie) and told her he loved her, they needed a break , and he had booked a flight to the Bahamas for a one week stay at Sandals.......................oh, and by the way I bought a Viper, honey! The testamonials went on longer than any Funeral I can ever remember , and it was a real celebration of Frank and his impact on folks in his short time on this Earth. He will, as Bruce , mentioned , always be listed as a Charter Member of the Crossroads Club , and I am happy to be among those folks he called friends!
