I know the factory box vs. K&N and AP airbox have been debated to death.

Any thoughts on smooth tubes for the factory airbox? I know it is very minimal, if anything at all, but are there any negative thoughts to it? I assume the 08-10 smooth tubes could fit.

I have some from my 13 that I'm going to put on my 14 in the spring. I thought I read here somewhere that it could cause issues with how much the engine moves and then not allowing as much flex as the stock pieces but I never had any issues on my 13 in 4-5k miles. My thought is that they can't hurt flow any so why not do them.

My thoughts as well. Were these tubes for a Gen IV?

I got them from RSI (before I knew who RSI was). I'm not sure if they were designed for Gen V or taken off a customers Gen IV he had sitting in the shop. But at least they took 4 months to send them to me after I paid for them.
