Has anyone tried the Centerforce twin disk clutch. It looks like they use the same clutch for the G4 and G5. There may be a difference in the flywheel between the G4 and G5. The G5 flywheel is steel and skeletonized. The combined weight is lighter than oem clutch/flywheel. It is rated 1300 ft lbs.
Here are the features:
No complicated setup or adjustments required
Fully dampened clutch system developed for vehicles with extreme power levels
Patented ball bearing pressure plate
Patented multi-disc floating disc and drive disc design
Quiet, positive drive floater
Smooth engagement and light pedal effort
High torque capacity up to 1300 ft/lbs at the flywheel
Precision balanced
Greater longevity
ARP fasteners
Excellent driver control
Comes preassembled for your convenience

If it was anything like the Centerforce clutch for the Gen 2, stay away. I installed one, 500 mile break-in. Was done in 700 miles. Just did not last for me.

Was yours twin disk? They have different levels, the DYAD is the top of the line twin disk, it seems to have good reviews on the Corvette forum

I wouldn't consider this a glowing review, but then again, this car was making far more power than yours:

Jack -
Terrible experience with mine. Lasted <1000 miles
Test sheet supplied with the DYAD rated @ 1339 Ftlbs

DYAD uses organic friction material. No way that material would hold up to 1300 ft-lbs with a dual. I recommend metallic/ceramic type friction material at anything over 800 ft-lbs.

Jack,
Why not use the BBG clutch? Seems popular.

The viper version uses organic on one side and I believe a non-organic on the other disk. In my case this would be a HC car only.

No disrespect, but, since you are associated with a competitor (BBG), we cannot count your input, LOL.
