Anybody want to point me in the right direction? I doubt all the turbo builds have been using factory plugs.

I can't give you an exact recommendation, but provided the Gen 5 uses the same plugs as the Gen 4s, it is a 14mm thread (5/8" hex head), 1" (25.4mm) reach, tapered seat plug with a 0.050" gap. The OEM Gen 4 plug is a Champion 3032 (single platinum) or 7032 (double platinum), which is a 10 in the heat range. The ACR-X used a Champion 7437 (RE7PYP6) double platinum, which is a heat range of 7 (colder on the Champion scale). Hopefully that gets you going in the right direction.

NGK is usually a great plug (ZRF7 I think), but there are some Champ RC10ECC(2 step colder) over at the Alley.

When I look that plug up, it shows a reach of 19mm...that's not far enough for a Gen 4/5 head.
I made up a spreadsheet that had torque specs and other info for the Gen 4 crowd...here's a screen capture of the spark plug reference I made:

I've been pointed in this direction. What do you guys think?

That should work - the OEM replacement NGK plugs (2314) are a heat range 5, so these would be 2 steps colder than that. 200 shot?

Only one way to find out...I haven't heard of anyone running a shot of nitrous on a Gen 5, and very few have done it with a Gen 4, so there just ain't much info out there.

Just ordered 20 lol. I'll do a 4th gear pull kill the car and pull them to check

I'm curious to see what you find, both with the spark plugs and how the PCM reacts (and if we can get around any computer intervention with HPT).
Are you using a throttle body plate wet kit?

Will I would chat with RC if you haven't already about how he made it work on his Gen IV. He's still the only one that I know that made it work consistantly.

Yes twin wet plates.

I have, it seems it was almost all window switch based. I just need to spray after the Variable crap

Exactly, also ran 109 I believe just for safety.

Probably because he was using a Mopar PCM, which likely increased timing in a few areas.

We are going to try and get away with 93 in my main tank and C16 in the standalone cell. If I need to I'll run good gas in both though.

Hi, this is my first post, but I'm doing a similar set up. I will use the brisks silver RR14s plugs, they are 2 step colder also. You might wanna take a look a them, just another option.

Junkie,
I put Nitrous on a 2014 Viper out of Miami - tuned it and dialed it in for him.
You will need to disable the following code: P2282.
The car will run perfectly with the OEM timing map, a 200 shot and 93 octane gasoline. I had zero detonation.
I used the following plug gapped at .020.. Enjoy!

Have fun!! It's F.A.S.T.

Thanks for the tip Ed! Hopefully I'll start the install when I get home from CO next week

Hey everyone... sorry to resurrect an old thread, but for those that have swapped to colder plugs, what did you end up with? Also, what gap did you run? Looking at the NGK (6510) LTR7IX-11 Iridium IX Spark Plug for my nitrous setup, so any input would be appreciated!

How has no one asked the obvious question yet...what shot are you going to run Will?

If asking me... I'm looking at a 150 - 200 shot. ;-)

Thanks Antonio, those are the ones I'm looking at getting. Look to be 2 steps colder than OEM which should be good. Any suggestions on gap for them?
