Nissan is heavier, less rated hp, and faster around the track than the Corvette C7 Z06. Someone posted it on Corvetteforum, and they promptly removed it to the off-topic section. Imagine that.

Interesting that the Corvette's higher figure-8 lateral grip and max g-forces do not translate to quicker lap times. The Corvette guys that have been clinging to those stats might need something else to talk about now (http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c7-z06-discussion/3600834-mt-2015-chevrolet-corvette-z06-vs-2015-nissan-gt-r-nismo-comparison.html).
1/4-mile
Nissan 11.0 @ 126.6
Vette 11.4 @ 124.4
2.42 mile Willow Springs w/ Pobst driving
Nissan 1.25:70
Vette 1.27:10
That is a pretty big difference. Figure each tenth of a second is approx a car length. The GT-R finished 280 ft ahead of the Corvette.
This quote also hurts:
"Add to that the Z06's tendency to get hot after one lap and the computer's decision to reduce power to compensate, and you have a lap slower than expected."
I do agree with the writers though, the GT-R isn't as good looking, and they really are boring to drive. But, you can't deny how fast they are!
