The poster below provides all the critical details. More info and the registration form including the judging classes, can be found here: http://www.moparsaz.com/
I WILL be going to this, if anybody wants to come with, we can meet up prior and grab breakfast or just caravan into the show grounds. It'll make it easier to park together.

Hey - bump - looks like a good show! I am planning to attend. Thinking about throwing my Viper on the Dyno as it would be interesting to see what I'm really putting down as I have no idea since I bought it wrecked and have had little luck finding out any history on it. Yikes - need to find a way to clean down in between those intake runners!

I wish it wasn't sponsored by Bill Luke......damn thieves.....Eddie excluded, of course (back when he worked for them)

Anyway......can you still register, or is it too late?

I don't know if pre-registration is closed yet or not. But i have not registered either and it's $25 on the day of the show so i plan on paying at the gate at this point. Also, if you would like to arrive as a group, let's plan on meeting at the Paradise Bakery at the corner of 99th Ave and McDowell BEFORE 8AM. I will be there and will leave at 8AM so as to arrive at the show a 15 or so minutes after the gates open( it's one exit down the I-10, exit 133A).

Rocket - I didn't know you had a "hennessey" motor!!! I'm sure you've heard all the rumors and bad press.....especially if you've talked to Eddie.....it would def be interesting to see your car on the dyno.....maybe I'll join you!

Hotrodder00 - Don't worry about Bill Luke, i'm sure the procedes go to UTI or another worthy cause and Bill Luke is paying money to participate.

Who else is coming to this great show?!?!?!

Yeah - I bought my Viper wrecked via auction, and figured that the motor work was done in 2010 - after most of the Hennessey shenanigans took place. I've put about 18k miles on it and have always wondered what it really puts down. This is the second Viper I've rebuilt and probably my last as there is simply too much to do and see here in AZ! That and the fact that I love the way it turned out with the coupe rear end and custom ACR stripe/paint scheme!

Oh boy. The infamous henessey. Yeah rocket that is what is great about out here. Tons to see and you can do it year round so why not have it at.

Hey - was just thinking - what's the deal with only 91 octane here? My mopar pcm is calibrated for 93? Is 93 available anywhere?

I've only seen it in a few places....and i always forget where they are....

I remember seeing it in Scottsdale on Scottsdale rd north of Frank Lloyd Write...but that was years ago when I was in the area a lot. Couldn't tell ya now. Otherwise, near wild horse I would assume because of the track there.

I need to re-download the Gas Buddy App for my phone but that used to show you gas prices at every station, so I think it (or a similar app) would show you where 93 octane is. Although don't you guys who are tuned for higher octane have to keep a bottle of booster with you?

Rocket what happens when you run 91 in it? Does it run rough or does the computer compensate and it runs fine but with a little less power? Your SCT can hold a couple tunes. Worth it to have a 91 octane tune written? Just wondering.

Was anyone doing the 1/2 mile run in Gila Bend? I'm signed up for Sunday the 8th. Saturday is closed.

Jeff, did you sign up for NASA?

I may stop by the car show Saturday.

I did not yet but one of my best friends is a member and I was going to talk with them about setting up a viper track day for us. I am bummed the INDE event got cancelled. I have really enjoyed that track before.

Yeah, I haven't been to Inde. I went to Buttonwillow in January and want to do more track time. I'm not sure if NASA or Pro autosports is the ticket though.

Pro autosport is a bit more...let's say libertarian minded. It's very, "at your own risk" kind of experience. They are less into safety checks and such. I know some people get irked by NASAAZ emphasis on safety cause they think it slows things down. So you gotta make your own mind up in that.

BUMP! Lead - just sent you a pm! Weather looks like it's going to be amazing. I may be going to a spring training game, so not sure how long I'll be sticking around or if I can get my Viper on the dyno. See everyone on Friday!

So the show didn't quite draw the crowd the organizers where hoping for, but there were over 150 entries! I think it has a lot of potential to grow into a real event in the future. At any rate, Rocket and i took the opportunity to jump on the dyno.

Rocket pulled a 613 HP and 580 ft-lbs out of three pulls with an estimated 702 HP at the crank.

Myself, I pulled a 450 HP and 502 ft-lbs out of three pulls with an estimated 520 HP at the crank.

Photos and videos to come!

sounds like you guys had fun. I was in Albuquerque for my annual trip to the fiery foods festival but otherwise I would have gone. 150 cars is pretty good for a first event, IMO.

Hey Rocket! I posted a video to youtube. You were the first one to go, so I didn't know they were going to do the pulls in quick succession and stopped recording to take more pictures after the first pull. By the time i got the camera back you were already starting the third pull. This is the best i could do!
