FLATOUT

Big thanks to the guys at American Racing Headers and KP Racing for working with me this past month on this little project. I called ARH and spoke with Steve Doten our vendor here on the VOA and buddy from my Corvette Days and asked them to help me with a light weight straight pipe track exhaust, as some of you know. They turned out exactly what I was looking for and it's definitely moving some air.
As luck would have it I won two free dyno pulls at KP racing from our VOA Membership drive so I took the car over to KP to make a couple of pulls this Tuesday. I documented in the other thread the weight savings and and now I got to put it on the dyno. Only difference between this dyno and my last one was the removal of the stock 2 1/2 catback, and adding the 3 inch straight exhaust into the larger 3 inch tips.
I expected about a 10rwhp gain if that much from the switch. As luck would have it, we dyno'd the car hot after sitting in an hour and half long commute and it only picked up maybe 2hp with the hood closed. I have always seen about a 10rwhp gain after letting the car cool for a few hours so the fact that it picked up anything hot off the street made me happy. I still need to get the car on the dynojet that I always used for my gen IV as well to compare it to my old numbers.
Anyways here's a quick vid, and thanks again KP Racing, and American Racing Headers!
