Yesterday I took delivery of a new 14' Viper. Its a white SRT with black stripes. Options are matt sidewinder II wheels, corsa tires, 18 speaker stereo, and leather. I got her from a very small dealership in Connecticut who either didn't try to advertise and sell the car or just didn't know how to. They didn't have any pictures of the car on their website and no description at all. Thankfully I have been following the Gen V's for a while now and was able to spot out a gem. I wanted a white car anyways so it worked out well. Final OTD price was 77.5K. It's no the deal of a lifetime, but I feel pretty good from what I have been seeing.
I was going to ship the car, but the car deal itself took a lot longer than I expected (long story) and I have a couple out of town work trips lined up and didn't know if I would be around to take delivery of the car from a shipper. So I flew from Charleston Sc, to Norwalk Ct Friday night after work, and picked the car up at 9am the next day. It was on the cold side, but roads were clear and it was a sunny day. I proceeded to drive the car all day to get home. It was a 13.5 hour drive plus stops. 800 miles later I was home. I was able to stop in Raleigh and meet up with the Carolina's president Brian for dinner which was cool.
here's my thoughts of the car. Obviously its awesome, but there are a few things that I didn't expect. First, the transmission/clutch/flywheel make it so easy to drive. Its one of the easiest manual cars I have even drove. The different trans and rear end ratios are awesome. I was in 6th almost the entire time and it never really felt like it was bogged down. The next thing I really enjoyed was the stereo. its one of the best factory stereos I have ever listened to. And finally using cruise control made such a huge difference. I don't think I could have made that long trip without it.
Finally, I named her Iggy because she's my white girl with a fat ass and a little attitude. (look up Iggy Azalea if you don't know who I'm talking about)
