First time I recall seeing this tidbit of a 6-speed sequential with paddle selector option and especially with reference to Viper-only bellhousings, etc. as a start.

Priced just under $14,000, this looks very interesting to those that desire one and it eliminates, the nothing fits BS that has been going around for years.

Quaife is a very standup organization and the bar none best diff-upgrade for the Viper period.

Anyone know anything about this? Oh yah, the link to Quaife USA:

We have sold for the European Comp coupes and some people in the US have tried them, but strictly a racing option.

PPG has a sequential option for the Tremec transmissions in the works. A friend will be using it in his TT GT500 that makes over 1000rwhp. Will report back how it does, but it's probably going to be a while before the rest of the car is finished. PPG builds some badass transmissions!

EMCO has also had a sequential option for the Viper, priced at around $25,000 and has been tested in cars making over 1500rwhp. :United_States:

The issue is integration of the transmission controllers into the stock engine management system. VERY Difficult and VERY expensive...

Friend of mine has one of these gearboxes fitted in his Gen II Gts, its not a daily drive car but he does use it on the road :)

Great time to buy from the UK at the moment with the £ being so low against the $.

I believe you require 3 parts Gearbox, Custom bellhousing, Shift indicator. Get the bits shipped to a friend at an American Airbase in the UK so they can send it back home for you :D

I looked into these a couple years ago. They don't hold up according to Jeff Stout and Erik Messley.

A sequential transmition would be great for shifting under power.
Seems that reliability might be the issue and cost .

Just getting the Quaife alone for around 1455.00 msrp plus install costs really makes a difference for track cars.

That price must be for a Quaife diff. The sequential trans. is about $15K.

When I bought my G5, I contacted Unitrax and asked about the Quaiffe. Basically, they said there was no advantage over the oem unit, i was surprised.

I think Steve Loudin and MTI are working on something.

If cash was no object, i would love one in my car, but its not cheap :(

Found this, no idea how old the web page is but might be worth a call?

Not sure if this would work on a Gen V?

One other thing, I don't think many people would like the look of the Sequential gear stick and Knob in a nice kitted out
Gen V, could be OK in something like an ACR?

Its the Up shifting that needs to be better, not the down shifting

I always Blip the throttle when changing down,

The thing with a Sequential gearbox is precise fast shifts with no risk of hitting the wrong gear. ;)

Thanks Cav-Man, I'll check it out. Allan
