So I'm out for a little drive in my new Anodized Carbon TA and I stop at my parents house to show them the new car.
My mother comes out of the house takes one look at the car and starts giggling and says it reminds her of How to Train Your Dragon. I didn't know what the hell she was taking about. So we looked up the cute little matte grey dragon she was thinking of, turns out his name is Toothless.....
I don't think Toothless is a very good name for a Viper :lol2: What do you guys think?
I have been told by many that this car looks dark and sinister, but my mom thinks its cute.... Just goes to show you how people differently view our cars.

That's pretty funny.
Always thought Toothless had more feline than snake in him.
Sounds like your mom has a fun sense of humor!

that's funny. watched it many a times with my kids. This might make you feel better...
Toothless is a Night Fury - the Fastest, smartest, and rarest.
I would say it depicts the viper pretty well!
Still rather her call it the "Night Fury" rather then "Toothless"

Haha...Mom has a sense of humor for sure. I can see it. Both have low flatish heads with eyes wide apart and kinda similar coloration. So will there be a new license plate "Toothless" ;)
I think it shows how sweet your mom is that she looks at that sinister beast and thinks of a cute little animation character.
You call it whatever you like, but to your mom you'll probably always be her 'little boy' and your viper, 'cute little toothless'.

wasn't toothless the kind of dragon that was so fast nobody could shoot it down in that movie? i would call it a complement :)
lol, need to see the wings on that Viper do to a good comparison but I see the resemblance!

Moms are moms. Always. I love your story. My mother always says "your car just looks so happy" . And that the red is just "such a happy color of red". Of course I say "it's supposed to look mean and badass and fast" and she says "I just think it looks happy. Like it's always smiling."
Sainthitch is correct though. In the movie the main character asks about what to do if you come across a night fury and the response is "no one who has tangled with one has lived to tell about it." So I think that is a fitting comparison to your car.
Kids used to say my Gen II GTS looked like Lightning McQueen (the main car in the move Cars) So, I guess the bottom line here is this vehicle effects people enough for them to assign emotions to it or personify it, then I think that's pretty cool. I'll take it.

It does make me feel a little better, I'll have to let my mom know she wasn't too far off.
