Is it possible to get a puddle of oil leak on front left inside the tire....
Saw this after the car was parked for 3wks...

Left as you sit in the car, or left as you are looking at the car? In other words, passenger side or driver side?
It doesn't take much oil to make a mess, but that looks like a pretty decent leak.

Almost looks more like the AC drained when you last parked it and left a dirty spot in the floor. Now that the condensation evaporated, the dirts just sitting there.
Unless you did the touch/smell/taste test, in which you know for sure it's oil.

sorry guys,,,was trying to do this from phone...
uh... it is on driver's side front tire....
it's oil..
i had ss braided brake line put in at 700 miles.... drove a few times, no issues... left the car parked for 3 wks over holidays and pulled it out and saw the puddle of oil..it's not engine... it is oil... i thought it was brake but reservoir level still 1/2 inch from full/top...
i was told that the grease fitting could leak out oil like that but it didn't do it until now... so...not sure...
i'm gonna put the car on my lift when i get the lift installed today and look under better...
just wondering if anyone else had issues like this... i put a new paper underneath the car by the front driver's side tire and it's again collecting oil...it is dripping down the tire onto the my epoxied floor (easy to clean the oil...) ...
i'll get it checked out later but just was curious if anyone else had issues with this kinna thing....
thanks ya all..

I have heard of a few TA's that have had coilover leaks.

This unfortunately.
Shock oil/fluid looks about like that. med/thin consistency and fairly clear/light tan.

That'd be the first place I'd look as well.

Agreed that it could be a coilover leak. My front passenger is leaking, I'm waiting until spring when I can drive it to the dealer to get it swapped.

Yep. I had a puddle develop over a couple days. I'm having trouble uploading the pic I took under the car when I first spotted it, you can see the oil running down the inside of the rim and tire and onto the floor. PM me your cell if you want and I'll txt you the pic.

While I don't have any idea as to the exact type of fluid that is used in any Viper shock, I can say that the yellow fluid that leaked from two shocks on a friends brand new 2006 Viper actually started to dissolve/weaken the tires causing a 2 inch long egg-shaped defect that required him to replace the tires along with the shocks. This occurred as his new Viper was sitting on a lift over 3-4 winter months.
Clean your tires and watch them closely.

So glad I have drip trays under that thing on the lift. One more thing to watch.
