Excellent news. I think another number to look at is the increase from 13 to 14 just for Sept through Dec, that shows the difference the price reduction made. And for those 4 months sales increased 53%. I think 2015 is going to be a good selling year for us, especially once the leftover 13s are gone.
It would be interesting to know the model year breakdown of December sales especially how many of them were ordered 2015's.

Are orders part of the sales count ?

No orders are not part of sales numbers. Not until they actually are sold and a NVDR ( new vehicle delivery report ) is dropped.

Guy on other forum claims he paid 80k on a leftover launch edition originally listed for 60k more. What a great deal. Only couple hundred show up listed now on cars.Com etc

Gotta get rid of all of the 13's! I don't know why, but it bothers me seeing them still sitting!!

Between Tony's Video's and Strong sales , 2015 and 2016 looks promising .

I was referring to previously ordered 2015 SRT's and GT's that were delivered/sold in December. I would still be interested to see the breakdown of sales by model year.

Will likely see some Z06 prospective buyers switch over after the Nineball thrashing!!

Would not be surprised if it literally did help sell one or two. On the other side, I think you caused 10 cancellations or more for Chevy. Could be more.

Cars.com still shows 286 that seems like a lot of cars to me. I bet that you can get a real good deal on a 2013.

Between the price reduction, deals on the 2013's, the Z06 beating, and then actually sitting in one, I changed preferences. Went to check out the Z06 and Viper the same afternoon NineBall posted his video, and seeing it later that evening cemented my choice. Now to get one!

If they sell 50 monthly then there shouldn't be any leftovers remaining by summer.

Ill buy all 50 if everyone will give me a dollar over sold price. That would land me 50 bucks and one Gen 5 worth 50 less.

That's what I was wondering! With Viper production starting back up in November, a large part of the December sales increase was probably 2015's delivered and sold in December filling people's previously orders of SRT's and GT's. Still good to see that many Vipers sell last month.

I will say that Tony's video definitely caused a friend of mine to NOT buy a Z06, he actually backed out of a deposit on one. But he unfortunately didn't buy a Gen5 either.

It will be interesting to see how January and February go sales wise. I think that will be a good sign of things to come. Many people are buying now because of the discounts on 2013/2014 models but I wonder if it's enough to carry over demand for actually new models.

I recently got rid of my C6. I had an E-Force with a smaller pulley, exhaust, and a solid tune. I just was sick of the car. I pulled stock ZR-1 without much issue and know it would do the same to a new Z06.
After reading g your experiences and the outcomes I am going to be viper shopping in the coming year and most likely getting the regular GTS.
I am not a let humper, fanboy or whatever for GM even though I have owned many LS engine cars and other GM models.
Thank you for the shoot out information!

I'm sure this picture has made its way through these Viper forums before but I just couldn't help but think of it when you said priority :)

Exactly why I bought a GenV. Every day is just another day closer to death. You spend your whole life saving for 30 years of retirement, meanwhile the average person dies within the first 10 years of it. Might as well enjoy life now. By the time I'm old enough to retire, I'll have nothing to do with all my free time anyway, so I'll probably keep working regardless.

I agree big time. I've spent one million dollars in the past ten years alone on toys. When you're dead you're dead for a long time.

What did you finally get? I would love a new one but just not in a place to do it at the present. Kids, wife, home upkeep and a new secondary business has all but murdered that idea at the present moment. Still really enjoying this 96' RT/10 though could use a bit more power. Can't seem to find extra time to get out to drive any of my toys these days.

Ironically, I'm trying to sell my financially under-water house so I can buy a Viper. I don't know if I'll ever buy a house again after the last 6 years of ownership... :lol2:

Just need to buy the next one in the right area. Even with the shit kicking I took on mine for selling at the wrong time of the year I'm still up a solid chunk of change. Hoping to be up another 100k on the new house in a few years too.

There is an easy solution to avoid the retirement 10-year death window. Spend so much that you don't have enough saved for retirement, so you need to keep working. Buy that Viper ASAP, whether you can afford it or not... :t0135:

December 30 my wife and I had dinner with a couple she recently sold a house to. They had just retired and purchased a new house. On New Years eve he had a massive heart attack and died 2 days latter after being in a coma. I think he was 62. Live is short and you never know how long have.
