Radar detector solutions?

I've had full built in radar/jammer systems in the past, but my honest preference is just a blend mount style hanging from the mirror stem. I don't see that being an option with GenV's. What are you guys doing to get a nice radar setup in these cars?

I don't think you will find a Gen V specific system. I have a passport 8500x detector with mirror tap and clamp style holder I plan on using once I get into a Gen V. It worked great in my Gen III. That being said, if I were to buy it all over again, I would go with the escort smart radar. Here's a site that is selling it. I have no association with this site, but they seem to have good prices.

I use the suction cups and a tap into the mirror power. Out of the way and fits my needs.

I am not sure (saw the Gen III/IV on your avatar), but look at this page and check to see if your mirror is on there. Mine ain't too fancy on the Gen IV. :)

I think its one of the "incompatible mirrors". I had a blendmount for my Z06 and it is awesome, so first thing when I bought the GEN5 was looking for one. No cigar :(

I can't remember how much room there is in the GenV above the mirror? But that is where I mounted my V1 in my Gen3, just suction cupped to the window right above the rear view mirror.

[Policy Limits]

Solo cordless mounted on windshield with suction cups. If you purchase additional mounts u can slide the device in and out of different vehicles easily. Works well. Battery operated. Satisfied.
