I have a white Gen V and will be getting the windows tinted. The installer has 20% and 40 % film.

I think my Dodge pick up has 20% on the back 3 windows from the factory. It is white too. I like the way it looks.

Please let me know what you used and pictures would be nice too.

Thanks

20% would be pretty dark for factory tint...I'd think it was closer to 35-40%, at least from what I've seen of most factory tint jobs.

Not a Gen 5 or even white, but here's 20% (at least I think - it was bought already tinted) on mine:

I will say this: tint this dark makes it damn near impossible to see out at night unless the street/parking lot is well lit.

Cool...I guess we are pretty close to each other. I definitely love the looks of the tint on mine, but it does make me a bit paranoid around cops, and is usually why I roll with my windows down.

I dont have a viper, but my car is white whith a dark interior. My tint is 35% and i think it is plenty dark. Also a viper has smaller windows wich would allow less light into the car making it look even darker imo. I personally wouldnt go to dark, but its completly up to you as it is your car.

I always run 35%. 50 is a little too light. And 5% is way too dark. 35 is a nice middle ground between having it dark, but not getting bothered by the cops too much.

Ohio front window legal limit is 50%, but you can have any darkness on the back windows. I'd be pretty sad if I had to do 50 for legal reasons.

We aren't allowed to have anything on the fronts. I still run 35 anyway.

35% is really plenty dark. As mentioned, anything less is really a PIA for night time visibility using the side view mirrors. Also, Ohio State Troopers love too pull over sports cars with dark tint.

Can't argue that Synergy's car looks stellar... Just not worth the trade-off for me.

Yep 5% is the only way to go. Black out everything. If you are getting pulled over chances are it ain't for the window tint.

3M Crystalline in 40%.

Looks darker than it is, it really depends on the viewing angle.

35% isn't dark enough for me, I usually get 15-20%
