isn't it a given that a gen v viper will beat a c6 z06??? i didn't even think they were in the same league.

Stock? Sure. Heads/cam? Totally different animal...the ones I've seen are usually 600+ RWHP, depending on the size of the cam...couple that with a car that weighs in at a little less than 3,200 pounds and you have a car that moves out.

I run with a couple cam/exhaust/tune Z06 in my cruise group and they're faster than my car right now, both are just under 600 rwhp. I expect to even things up in the spring with a intake/tune.

Hoping to have the video of the gtr up soon. He came ready to play. Had no passenger seat, no exhaust and just put light weight 18 inch wheels. Removing the exhaust really helps out the gtr's a lot.

I think viper nation will be happy. I pulled him once then on another run it was real close. Need to see the video to see who won. It was door to door from what I remember. There was also another run that I missed 3rd, put it back in and he pulled a car or so. Not sure if TRC will put that run up. We will see.

GTR as nice if your strictly into straight line performance. Unless its the Nismo which cost tons. Bang for your buck the Viper is hands down better looking and less money out of the box. 84995 for a brand new 2015 SRT vs a 2011 used GTR. I think its a no brainer. Even for the guys who own GTR's.

No offense, but if you think GTR's are strictly for straight line performance then you don't know much about them and certainly have never driven one.
