Wannagofast Virginia 1/2 Mile Shootout May 2-3 2015

Wannagofast is coming to your region next year. If your not familiar with them, they rent out airports and do 1/2 mile heads up racing. I actually work for wannagofast on the side and run the speed/timing system they use. I'll keep this thread updated as more information comes along. Our next event is in Florida in a few weeks and its registration sold out in less than 2 hours. If you have never done one of these events, I highly recommend it. It's a lot of fun to go through 4-5 gears full throttle in a safe environment. We usually have a handful of vipers come to each event, and a TT viper holds the 1/2 mile record for a RWD.

Well here's THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT EVERYONE! We have "Officially" secured the stunning and beautiful Ingalls Field Airport (www.ingallsfield.com), in Hot Springs, Virginia, for the incredible Virginia 1/2 Mile Shootout on May 2-3rd, 2015!!

This airport is located only 90 mins north of Roanoke, Virginia in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains and is the ideal location for the Northeast/MidAtlantic regions! The runway features an incredible 5600x100ft runway that will have plenty of room for the fastest street cars in the World to go Head to Head!


Additionally, we have reserved the World Renowned Homestead Resort and Spa (www.thehomestead.com) as the "Official" Host Hotel for the weekend racing festivities. This is an Omni Resort and one of the top rated Resorts in the entire country. George Washington himself signed the deed to this land......we can't make this stuff up

Reminder, driver registration opens up at 8am eastern time on the 20th of February (3 days from now).

I didn't get to make it to the promotional video shoot unfortunately, but there was one viper there (my old car actually). Enjoy the video and get ready to go fast.

I will have my Gen V at the event, so if you register and want to line them up, let me know. Its always fun seeing two vipers racing down the runway.

ACRGTR, glad to hear your signed up. I think you will have a great time. I recommend coming out Saturday and spectating if possible. It will allow you to see most of the cars and get a layout of the runway before jumping right in Sunday to race.

Do you have any mod's done to your car? My 14' SRT is stock and will probably still be at the event. I ran 150mph in the Florida 1/2 mile last month, but it was at sea level and we will be several thousand feet in VA. Let try to line them up if possible.
