I have a trade difference offer from a dealer of $30K with my 08 coupe with Aero pkg.(stickerd just under $100K) which has 7500 miles on it for a new 13 GTS that originally stickered for $142K.

$25K difference is where I want to be.

I like everything about my current car.

Two questions ?

Has anyone regretted going from a 4th gen to 5Th gen ? If so, Why?

Do you think a $25K difference is reasonable ? If not,Why ?

Hell no, and Hell yes. Hope that answers your questions. Without a doubt the the Gen V is worth EVERY penny, Head and shoulders above Gen I- IV..... JM2C :United_States:

Yes, I would take that if I were you. The car stickered for $42k more, is brand new, zero miles, full warranty and has many features/bells/whistles (especially if its the black/silver I think it is). I do not think you would regret. I did not. Good luck.

If you don't do it, PM me the dealer. I tried to trade my 08 with 18k mis in great condition, plus $40k in cash, and the dealer said no, was in Sept. So this sounds great IMO.

Another thread here with someone who just paid 78K for a brand new GTS. That being said, you would be giving your car in for 48K. Plus the difference in taxes. If the 30 extra from you is including the taxes, I would go for it for sure.

Was that $78K without a voucher ? I do not have a voucher. If I can purchase a $142K 2013 GTS to my liking for $78K, I would probably keep my car and buy outright. Where can one be had for $78K brand new?

I'm extremely happy with my choice to upgrade to a Gen 5 from my Gen 4. I think around 25k difference is a good deal, you won't regret it! Good luck!

I am actually the one that got the GTS for 78k delivered from the east coast to the midwest. That is without a voucher and original MSRP was 134k.

I was in the same boat. Sometimes I still feel I pulled the trigger a little early but you have to weigh your options. There are only so many 2013 models out there, so rule out the colors that don't work and then call on the ones you are interested in.

Many of the cars listed have been driven by dealership owners or were punched last year to get some dealer cash but the warranty period has started when punched even though it has not be titled.

What do you mean by "punched" ?

Its just a term I heard over the years dealing on Porsche's and BMW's. "Punched" means the dealer tagged it as a demo to get it off the books with Dodge/SRT even though its a brand new car but the warranty starts when punched.

It would be pretty sad if they sell somebody a car as new when the warranty has ready been started and the car with use as a demo. Hopefully the buyer knows what he's getting. Congrats on your GTS. Has it been delivered?

This is precisely what happened to me when I purchased my orange TA. Even though the car was advertised and sold to me as "new" (retail buyers order ie my contract had new checked), the owner of the dealership reported it as sold to himself a few months earlier but never titled it. They do this all the time in order to meet their monthly sales numbers and receive their incentives from the manufacturer. So according to the state DMV, I was the original owner. However, as far as chrysler was concerned, I was the second owner and lost a couple of months of warranty but more importantly I also lost out on the 15,000 voucher since that check was actually cut and mailed to the owner of the dealer lol. If you guys search my username and read my white TA for sale thread you can read the whole story.

Bottom line is even if they tell you it's new, make sure your contract states new on it and don't be afraid to contact chrysler and/or another dealer with the VIN # to make sure it is indeed brand new. One more thing... If it's already been "punched," you will also lose out on the SRT Track Experience.

Important information to know for any buyer especially with all the so called new 2013/2014 vipers out there. Thanks for the info. Sorry to hear this happened to you.

I ended up not getting a 2013 GTS. I struck a deal with John Gastman on a 2014 SRT. This fellow is very knowledgeable and up to this point has been a pleasure to work with. Car should arrive in a few days.

Here is the car :

Nevertheless, John anticipates the car will be arriving at my house by noon tomorrow. This will be less than 24 hours from when we made the deal !

The only thing better than buying a car from Roanoke is getting it serviced there. For those of us fortune enough to live nearby, or have the means to get your cars there for Dave Remmert and company to work on them, you know what I mean. We're spoiled. As long as they're around, I'll probably never buy another car anywhere else.

I was at Roanoke today when John was getting a white Viper with 5 spokes ready to deliver tomorrow. Is that the one your getting? I looked at that one but decided on the stryker green.

Congrats on the new ride! Looks like you are currently listed as "enthusiast" so not sure if this is your very 1st Viper or just your first Gen 5. Obviously, this car has a safety net built into the ESC, but please be very careful. You will absolutely love it. I honestly believe there is no wrong color in a Viper. Have owned 2 red/white striped, 2 solid red and 1 bumblebee but I'm really excited about my white/black striped GTS on its way. Your white is going to be very sharp. If I could trade for your rims, I would. I love the classic 5 spoke, especially how yours are 'smoked'. Enjoy the car, be safe !

I have owned a gen III and trading my Gen. 4 for this one. I had got my Gen. 4 about the time when Nine ball was driving his white one home from Mich. I loved the looks of it. I see now he has a TA and its white too.

I have a white Dodge 2500 limited with a Cummins. I love the color and love the motor. I suspect the same will be true with the viper.:United_States:

I will end up at a TA 2.0 or ACR should they be made, Hopefully ................

Just talked to the guy who is delivering my car. he is due to arrive in about a half hour .:)

I purchased my Gen III from Roanoke this past Fall. Best experience I could have asked for with John and Dave. Send us some pictures when you can :-)

That is my Jeep M715. I took it completely apart and replaced/upgraded EVERYTHING except the Body and frame. This was done pre big garage. Originally , it did not have the 2.5 ton rockwell axles.
