I'd need to see a closer shot but from whats posted above that "Viper" emblem doesnt look good in that location. Maybe if everythinbg was brought down a bit OR perhaps if they put the "Viper" emblem on the rear bumper.

Yeah I think it's good they brought the "viper" badges back. Not enough people even know the car exists. I would have mounted it a little lower but looks ok.

anyone have a closer shot of the badge? from a distance, looks noisy to me and really no need to add it, but difficult to see, does it then also say SRT or GT or GTS below it? Atleast no badge that says Dodge anywhere.

I get the sarcasm, but at the end of the day, I guess we are truly just saying nothing new worth mentioning for 2015 other than badges, new colors outside and inside, a fabricated 5hp increase from exact same motor and I guess the TA 2.0 aero bits. If not getting a TA 2.0 or one of the new colors, why would a 15' be interesting to an existing Gen5 owner for upgrade?

After closer inspection i do not like the valve stem covers, They detract from the wheel balancing weights.

Which ones? On the red car or silver car? Silver car has Sidewinder in Hyper Black, and the red car has Rattler in Hyper Black. Far as I knew the Rattler is the base option wheel? Sidewinders are a 1700$ option.

After being on the website I was asked to do a survey about the site. I let them know it. It does seem unbelievable. Having a site that works and lets you build and price a car out at MSRP does not seem like too much to ask. It would be nice to know the exact details and options available on the SRT, GT & GTS. You would also think if the 2015 now has the Viper emblem on the side they would show it on the website pictures of the car.

edmunds.com has a 2015 Viper Configurator. looks accurate to me. one of the other members posted a link to drop box where all the options are spelled out. Maybe they will see this post and provide the link.

After checking out the Edmonds.com 2015 Viper Configurator I saw it was wrong right off the bat so I wouldn't use it. It showed the GTS MSRP at $107,995 when it already been announced that it's $112,090 and now includes Laguna Interior and upgraded audio system standard. I'm actually going to call Bill at Woodhouse today and go over pricing and options on a 2015 GTS or GT. The link to the PDF in the drop box mentioned shows options but not pricing. Not sure if it's accurate.

I suppose with trying to keep the car light they needed to shave 8 or 10 pounds off of the GenII GTS style door which is like the hatch on an old submarine... hahaha Either way I feel like if someone bumps into the fuel door when it's open it will easily bend or even tear off.

I strongly disagree with both of you. I would like to not see the fuel fill cap at all. I see these new cars trimmed out very nicely and everything matching except the fuel cap.... This is very apparent on the Gen4 and Gen5 cars, like the all black ACRs that had a big ridiculous chrome fuel cap.....

Just stopped by our local dealer and VOA sponsor, Capital Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Garner, NC. They have a beautiful silver 15' SRT on the showroom floor that just arrived today. Snapped a couple shots including the close up of the side emblem. I actually like the new emblem.....would look HOT in black.

13/14 Interior doesn't have the alcantara on the glove box (and I assume door panels). The Carbon Edition cars did have alcantara on those pieces though.

Am I the only person who doesn't like Alcantara? I see it on a lot high end cars, and, excuse me for saying so, I think it cheapens he look. Much prefer leather, especially on the steering wheel. That being said, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me on this car.

I agree 100%. I hate it and I would not purchase a car with it. Dodge just came out with new specs on an upgraded leather option for the GT. I'm not sure what it consists of at this point.

I like the filler door on the GenII GTS because there is no getting around that it is a retro styled car. I sort of agree with you in that the GenV wouldn't look good with a GenII style door and if you don't have that then it may be better to just not see it instead of what's there.

As for the Comp Blue, they had one at Carlisle this past July. Gorgeous in person. It got almost NO attention, as it was parked next to the (then just making its public debut) Hellcat Challenger.

It looks like Customer Preferred Package 22J is simply the GT Package.

I think the on the base SRT Rear Facia is painted body color and not the same as the car color.

That Competition blue looks incredible here. But some pics it looks not nice at all. I can't wait to see one in person. I had the choice of the 2014 black GTS I bought, or ordering a new comp blue GT for same price. I have a feeling I am going to be regretting my decision the first time I see comp blue in person.

Since people are bitching about minor details, and honestly this is minor, but IMHO the Viper is really one of the classiest looking Sports cars out there. Now yes, I understand you can order it with stripes and other elements that give it the boy racer look, but in a clean subtle conservative color like silver, seriously, I'm SO happy they ditched those cheesy red calipers!

As someone who has driven a Gen IV in ice and snow, heck no! Enjoy it no matter what the weather is! Especially a newer-Gen with traction control!

I'm thinking no one knows because FCA hasn't decided or a decision has been made but they're gonna wait to make an announcement, just in case. Take Stryker Purple for example.

Basically the GT gets the 2013-2014 spec GTS Nappa leather/with alcantara seat inserts plus alcanara inserts in the center of the doors and knee bolsters (which was previously only included in the anodized carbon special additions). As far as I know, no laguna leather upgrade is available for the GT.

I thought the GT always came standard with those Alcantara insert seats? That's the main reason I wanted one, those are the best seat option in the Viper. Only seats you won't have such horrible back sweat on road trips with. Is the rest of the interior stuff like door skins the new part?

Yes you are correct. My wording was a little confusing. What I meant, is the GT always came standard with the Alcantara insert seats. What's different for 2015 (among many other changes such as stoptech rotors), is Alcantara inserts are included on the doors and knee bolsters as well.

Also upon further research, it appears there may be a full Nappa leather seat option available for the GT as well.

Bill at Woodhouse is checking in to it. He is the one who told me about it when I talked to him on Monday. He said Dodge just came out with the option but he wasn't sure exactly what it included. He didn't think it's the same as the Laguna interior but hopefully it's an all leather interior option. I don't like the alcantara seat inserts. They look cheap to me. That alone stops me from considering a GT. With the holidays it's probably hard to get any info out of Dodge.

It hasn't been answered directly, but it has been answered indirectly. There will not be any more TA1.0 cars, because you can simply add the aero package and the Sidewinder 2 wheels to most other cars, if you just want that appearance. The TA2.0 have basically replaced the TA, being even more focused for the track rats. They have already stated they will only build the TA2.0 in black, comp blue, and Y'orange, with 32 units each. I would think the there won't be any more TA's once the ACR comes out, maybe as a 2016?

I was told by my dealer that if I place an order for a 2015 now, the build process will begin in March and it would take 2 weeks. Is that true? How long is Conner Avenue closed for during the holidays? I thought the 2015s are being built now or will resume in January? I'm ordering a 2015 GT and gonna have it shipped to Kuwait which will take around 45 days to arrive.. CAN'T WAIT! You guys are the only ones keeping me patient. Love the posts and all the wonderful things I read on the forum here. Thanks.
