Do they come numbered in the vin or are they just a continuous number like all the others.

The '14's number was the last 2 digits in the VIN, with another number indicating the color. VIN were assigned as the cars were ordered, and not in the order they were built. I would expect the '15's to be the same.

Are you thinking of ordering one?

I do not think they are. I believe it's more of an option package now than a limited run in specific colors. I could certainly be wrong.

The TA2.0 will be numbered cars. The "TA Group" option package is just an option package.

Have they come out and said we are going to build "X" number of TA 2.0's?

Yes, I read somewhere. I believe 33 of each of the three colors.

Media press release:

For track enthusiasts, the Viper TA is back, this time as the Viper TA 2.0. The key improvement is more downforce, brought about by a new rear wing balanced with carbon fiber corner splitters for the front of the carhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png (http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1094150_2015-dodge-viper-srt-gets-gt-and-ta-2-0-variants-plus-more-power#). Engineers also tweaked the spring rates, dampers, sway bars and brake components, the latter of which have been enhanced for improved balance and resistance to heat fade. Dodge claims the TA 2.0 sees an increase in downforce from 278 pounds at 150 mph to 400 pounds at 150 mph compared with the 2014 Viper TA.

Inside, the TA 2.0 uses the standard premium ballistic fabric racing seats from Sabelt, featuring a lightweight fiberglass shell. Both driver and passenger seats can also accommodate a three- or six-point harness for racing belts. Black is the standard trim color but is accented with orange contrast stitching. For the exterior, the TA 2.0 is available in three limited-edition colors: Competition Blue, Yorange, and Venom Black. Production of this particular model will be limited to 32 units of each of the three exterior colors.

Good glad to see them keeping that as a marketing/sales tactic.

Not sure about that. Find me 1 of 30 2010 SSG ACR limited edition with a clean title under 10k miles for 50% off the original MSRP and I will be all over it.

Im wondering why its only 32 in each color? The ta 1.0 lapped laguna-seca in 1:33 so they made 33 each. Does this tell us something?

To make them more desirable as special editions I'd imagine.
It took a year to sell all the TA1's and they probably don't want to repeat that.

I bet there is more behind it(I hope) maybe a 1:32 or the the 2.0 theme

I still don't fully understand the reason of releasing the 2.0 rather than the potential ACR. It will be interesting to see how it sells.

Big difference in ACR price, performance and appearance that will appeal to some and not others.
