I said goodbye to my 06' Paxton coupe today. It's bitter sweet. That car was fast and very reliable. Plus it has the giant wing, and gen IV hood and 1/50 VCA edition. It was everything I wanted in a viper...... but I got way into the airport runway 1/2 mile racing and have need for more speed. I couldn't see tearing into the 06' and doing all the motor/fuel/drivetrain improvements needed to support a couple more hundred horsepower. With HP tuning and the Gen V being forged from the factory, its ready for whatever I want to throw at it. So, I'm moving to the gen V world in the coming months. The new owner hopefully will join the forum and VOA. He's a cool guy in Virginia.

Good luck, hope you find the Gen V gives you the performance. Owners seem to be happy.

Congrats and what a great choice. It's awesome to see someone making the move just from a mod perspective.

Here is an event I was going to try and make this year. 1-It's sold out but you can get on the waiting list 2-No way my car will be done and have time to ship it down.

Looks like THE event to be at other then TX2K

TImnineside, funny you mention that. I work for wanngofast as a side gig. The promo video for Ocala has my (old) red viper in it.

The gen V will have a big nitrous shot after I get used to the car. I would love to put some twins on it, but my pockets aren't that deep right now. I'll play with the NOS for a while and possibly go TT or supercharger down the road.

Ha! Small world! I'm really going to try and get down there next year. It's the perfect time for me to say goodbye to the awful weather up here in Michigan.

Nitrous is the best idea for any Viper. I did a ton of research before deciding to spray my 2006 coupe. I'm doing a 200HP shot with heater, 10lb bottle, switch panel and mini progressive controller. I'm about 90% done and just need to finish up some wiring.

I HIGHLY suggest Nitrous Outlet if you're looking. The tech guy (Lance) is extremely helpful and if you decide to go direct port they do amazing work there. I went with the throttle body spacer for now to save the money and because it's there.

Can you hook up a Viper owner on the waiting list?

Great decision Kris. Your '06 is an awesome car, and I hope the new owner will enjoy it as you did. I'm looking forward to seeing what Gen V you get.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. The new owner loves it. He flew down from Virginia and had a 7 hour drive back home in the viper. I'm sure he was smiling the whole way.

Fingers crossed I will be in a new V before the end of the year, but with holidays and a crazy work schedule it will be tough.
