TA or TA 2.0 Ordering

With the opening of TA 2.0 orders for all you Viperholics , keep in mind it is just that at present. I already got a call from a prospective customer stating the TA , in the original guise was cancelled! Since he said his local Dealer told him that and he really wanted a regular TA , he called me to verify. I told him his Dealer is likely just trying to get him to order a 2.0 as he can order it now, but the regular TA will pop up at a later date. We of course are taking orders for the TA 2.0 , but we definitely are not going to make up false stories to get someone to switch what they want. Now another option that came in late in 2014 was the TA Package , and that is available on a GTS order ( though it does not have the full options of a TA). It mainly consists of the suspension tweaks , Corsa Tires, Sidewinder IIs , and Aero package, orange lettering on the calipers and some interior treatments. This is what was on the 10 Carbon cars, a few Stryker Greens , and a few select other colors.

Be happy to take your orders on a TA 2.0 , keep you in my file to call on a regular TA, or order a SRT, GT, or GTS for you.

I am not 100% sure but my wild guess is that it means version 2.0, similar to software versions.

They still are going to make the regular TA. But you can't order one yet. Currently ordering is open for the 2015 TA 2.0 with that big ugly wing.

Also, there is a TA package that can be ordered on the GTS as an option. Including everything Bill stated in the OP.

2.0 has the small wing, slightly larger front splitter blades, and dive planes IIRC. Along with all the same suspension and brakes as the TA.

From what I gathered, the numbered TA editions will be 2.0s but you can still order the TA package for SRT and GTS models.

KDA -- Keep in mind the Time Attack Package Option on a GTS is not the same as the TA, it is a seperate option on the GTS ( not the SRT, since the TA 2.0 is the vehicle in the SRT snakepit).

Time Attack Package on a GTS is --------------Black Calipers with Orange Lettering, 5 mode electronic Stability Control, Carbon Fiber front splitters, Carbon Fiber rear spoiler ( not a wing ), TA Suspension, Pirelli Corsa Tires, so alot less options than the TA Package. Poor wording as the TA is considered by most as a model on it's own, whereas the GTS with the Time Attack Option ( not called the TA option - yep, semantics ) only includes the above.

Sounds like it doesn't include the carbon fiber X-Brace. Bill is there a breakdown of all the available options and what they include on the different 2015 viper models? The viper website is lacking in this regard.

I know, I just wanted to clarify weather or not the numbered TA edition (1.0) would be sold alongside the numbered TA 2.0 edition or if they were only offering the TA package as an add-on to the SRT/GTS trims alongside the numbered 2.0's

Good catch Bruce , it does not list them on the Dodge data, but sure they are sticking with them as Brembo gave them a great deal on them from what I was led to believe. Thanks for bringing that up!!

The 10 Carbon Edition GTS TA's came with the Brembo's. Should be a safe bet that the TA package on the other GTS models includes the same Brembo's.

Correct Shooter --- they ( Carbon Editions ) had the Time Attack Package, so they had just the items listed above with the option package on the GTSs. There were a few done on other GTSs ( we did one in Stryker Green for instance ), but good comment from Bruce as it is not listed anywhere and will contact SRT about that, since , frankly, it should be a listed upgrade on both the TA , TA2.0 , and the Time Attack Package. Heck, I forgot about it as it is not mentioned anywhere and those rotors are way cool and definitely a nice part of the model's appeal.
