ok so the tittle is a complete lie. I was just trying to get your attention. since my viper is too nice of a car to take down a dirt road I wanted to do a 1985 bmw 318 v8 build. I was thinking either a 350 block or a 4.8 vortec motor. Does anyone know if im going to need to do a lot of welding? i.e what else will it need besides new motor mounts and trany crossmember? Will the suspension hold up the weight? I heard the breaks are good on the e30s as well. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest asking on a BMW forum. Moving thread to Off Topic

So this post has nothing to do with a Viper, Viper engine or driveline...? Basically nothing whatsoever to do with a viper?
Why is this still here?
BTW... Who gives a sht about a 318 in '85 BMW anyway...???

Well, it is posted in "off topic". We really don't qualify the degree of "off". ;)

I thought the general was off topic. Anyways I know bmw is shit but I think it would be interesting if you drive up next to one, rolled down your windows to laugh only to hear a canned v8 XD just thought some of you viper gurus would be able o help me out with it.

It's in "Off Topic" now. It was in "General" when I commented.
Sorry, didn't mean to sound like a slam on BMWs.

Yes we moved it. Guess I should have made that clearer so that it would not impact your post. My bad.
See what happens when we begin down the road to BWM! LOL

No worries, that site is the best resource out there for e30s.
