Hey guys, my car is going in for some headers and High Flow cats soon. I currently have a K&N intake, SCT tune and Corsa cat back. While the car is in for the headers and cats I'm thinking about having some other small items done.

What's everyone's opinion on adding 1.7 roller rockers? Worth it? Gains? Cost? Other suggestions?

some gains not sure its worth it unless you plan on boost later where they are necessary IMO

I have Harland Sharps. I think they're good to 700hp, about $750 with push rods, and gains are in the 15-20 hp range if I remember correctly.

If it's the 06 in your sig then it's not going to be worth much if at all. The gen3 has 1.7 rockers so it's not changing cam events. Personally think money could be better spent elsewhere.

Remember its the whole pkg. that makes the gains and yes I highly recommend the T&D 1.7 rockers while you are at it. i paid about 2000 as I remember installed and gains alone for the rockers can be around 15-20 HP

You won't see any gain over the stock Gen 3 rockers. If you have a Gen 2, you could see a gain from Gen 3 rockers or T&Ds.

I have the same. Didnt realize they were limited to 700 hp. Guess they would need switched along w i th a few other parts iif i ever wanted to turn up the boost.

Gen 3 rockers are not a direct bolt on for gen 2. The larger diameter spring/ retainer will contact the rocker arm. If you want to use them you'll have to change to a conical (bee hive) valve spring and retainers. Or shim up the rocker pedestal.

Was looking into this as well for my 2000 GTS. Similar HP gains? I know the 96-99 motors have a different idle, what kinda of sound difference could I expect on my 2000 GTS?
