Oil Usage

I noticed that a couple of posts mentioned something about oil usage in the Gen V's so checked my level because I'm heading to Sebring tomorrow. I was down about 1.5 quarts. That would equate to using about 3/4 of a quart every 2000 miles. I was surprised about the usage as none of my other Vipers uses any oil at all. My car is brand new. Anyone else have experience in this arena? Think it could be that the rings need to seat?

Mine used oil for the first 3000 miles. It is now fine. In general rings seat fairly early.

My 13 used oil, a LOT. I but it leveled out after about 4000 miles for me. I haven't had my 14 long enough to note if it's consuming at the same rate.

My Viper consumes at about the same rate as Russ's. At 12,500 miles, still does. And I didn't baby it during break in. I also tracked it for the first time with about 1,400 miles on it. It doesn't bother me, the engine is strong. Several of my Viper buds also commented their Vipers consume more than most cars.
