Guys,
If you are a dealer and you peruse these boards and can help me with my requirements below, then please shoot me a PM. I am ready to buy TODAY.
I am in need of a new 2014 Viper. The acceptable colors are red, black, orange or white.
My preference is a TA and I am willing to pay $86K for this car.
Second preference is a base SRT and I am willing to pay $80K for this car.
Third preference would be a GTS and I am willing to pay $84K for this car.
Thanks!!!

86K for a TA? Seems really low, even with the voucher these were moving for 90K

Please let's not start this. If this forum allows these types of threads we're going to be overrun by people posting ultimatums on what they will/won't pay and it drives down value for everyone and will create needless clutter online. Want to buy a Viper? Contact our supporting dealers directly and negotiate from there.
Too much trouble to CALL our dealer sponsors, because I'm sure they all enjoy negotiating in a public forum.
You've got a list of probably the most accommodating, most professional Viper dealers in the country at your fingertips.
http://driveviper.com/club/sponsors.php
You'd do far better if you posted up your narcissism on Craig's List. I'm sure you'll find a much better deal there.

Well since we're throwing out reasonable numbers here, I too am looking for a 2014 TA - you take my 2008 Coupe with 13,xxx miles on it as a trade, and I drive off in a new TA. I'd really like the dealer to pay ME to do this, but I'll accept a straight up trade if that makes the paperwork easier.

Just wow at these responses and name calling!
You all should be ashamed of yourselves!
I called (I'm being literal here) every. single. supporting vendor here. Several days later and only one bothered to call me back (to tell me he couldnt source the color I want).
I'm not looking for the peanut gallery- I'm looking for a dealer that wants to move a car to see this, realize I'm not interested in BS prices and inbox me so we can work out the details of an imminent purchase.

There seem to be a bunch of SRTs in the $85k range. IMO they will be harder to get "steals" on. Of the ~340 Vipers on cars.com listed, only ~60 are SRT models. There is a glut of GTS models.
If I was looking for a steal, which there is nothing wrong with, I'd be going after a '13 GTS. Dealers might as well take the loss this fiscal year if they can.

Good advice. I doubt any dealers would want to carry 2013 inventory into 2015. Deals will be made in December, no doubt.

MurPowa,
Just building another TT car. Just shooting for 1,000 RWHP this time. Smaller turbos (will make the build much easier).
So far I've had three different dealers message regarding this post. 2 of the 3 will gladly honor my prices - we just have a color challenge at the moment.
So, to the negative Nancy's in the first half this thread, you're welcome. Consider this a free education from me to you on what these cars are REALLY selling for. Now, go bash the Gen V some more and preach to the world how inferior they are to your Gen 2/3/4....

I say sell them all at bottom prices so we can get the '15s rolling off the assembly line. The sooner the bloated GTS priced cars get sold the sooner the Viper can move forward.
I get where Voice of Reason is coming from, but those 250+ GTS need to get sold

Lawrenzo,
It's $73K with the Voucher. The voucher really doesn't play into negotiations as it's direct factory cash to the dealer (it's like a down payment essentially).
To those of you making jokes and talking about buying one for "$10K" and "an even trade for you Gen III," I'm sorry you fail to understand that I got exactly (well, within 3K) what I asked for with this thread. The deal is done and the car will be en route to me no later than Wednesday. So please continue with your condescension, it is in fact quite entertaining observing the stupidity of the masses...

Congrats! It seems some dealers what to sell cars while other don't. I've been looking for a 2014 at a great price. Yesterday I came across and nice new 2013 GTS I tried to make a deal on. In the end I found better deals (thousands less) on a 2014 GTS with a $9,000 higher MSRP then the 2013. It seems unbelievable. With the 2015's about to come out you would think they would want to sell the 2013's not to mention the 2014's. It's not surprising that they still have 2013's. If I end up not finding the deal I want I'm going to keep my 2002 ACR and buy a 2015 Z06.

Wow, you haters need to get over yourselves. This is how the world works. Would you guys have been more comfortable if he put up a classified add in the 'Vipers Wanted' area. Posting it up in a thread where all the dealers and/or sponsors can have access to a motivated buyer is a way better option. I would much rather the dealers come to me than have to call around the country and ask the same questions to each and every one. The dealers/sponsors can negotiate with him via PM, they don't have to post any info in this thread. No brainer.

i can appreciate everyone looking for a good deal on a car at the best possible price. With Viper prices in flux right now with the rebates and such, prices are all over the board. the smallerdealers are now realizing they can not have these show pieces sitting in showrooms for too much longer since we are coming up on 2015. My advice is to shop around and Maybe PM a few folks that had experiences on doog deals.
THis may be my philosphy only but I would really like to see the prices on the brand protected and not post what folks paid for vehicles, butthen again and i do not talk about finances publically. You hear of womeone paying full sticker for a car and excited about the new purchase then turn around and hear of the same car going for 40K less. One has just lowered the value of the car by almost 30% and has now cheapened the brand.
Good luck in your search for tha Perfect Viper

To be honest at this point the cars just need to be sold. Been a good year for Chrysler dealers, if I were running the business I'd take the heavy loss in 2014 and move the cars, thus offsetting some of the impressive gains Chrysler vehicles have seen as a whole.
The remaining '13s need to be sold at firesale prices just to get them out of there.

Since we're talking about finances ;) (and if you don't want to answer I completely understand) the bill of sale shows the price of the TA @ $88K correct? The voucher didn't lower the sales price but it simply lowered what you're paying for it. It's really $73K out of pocket which is stellar. I'm curious of the tax implications, if any, using the voucher. Does the use of the voucher have to reported to IRS or for tax purposes? Or does it simply come across as a rebate? Anyway, congrats on the deal.

Blkblu,
Seriously? Brand Protected? The value of these cars has completely tanked because of SRT/Dodge/Fiat crappy marketing job... There is no protection at this point... (Luckily I don't think the value can drop much more at least for the foreseeable future)
I would really like to see the prices on the brand protected and not post what folks paid for vehicles,
Tony,
Thank you!! And to answer your question, it's just a rebate so it makes it very simple.

I've now seen several fully optioned 2013 GTSes (leguna, stripes, track pack) on Ebay and the other big listing services pop up, and quickly sell for 85K+T&T. IMO, with snow falling in the north east, anyone who lets a dealer talk them into a final price on a 2013 Viper that is above 86K, regardless of color or options, is getting a raw deal. Wait till Santa comes. Two year old inventory has to be cleared sometime.

Very other car forum I'm on has a Sticky thread with posts of actual, shared purchase prices for the car and bike of the forum. Such a help as time goes by in shopping. The viper community for some reason is very anti this. I don't understand why. It's like we want to artificially make the car seem more expensive, while we complain about the price points, lol.

I'm fairly certain, that if I had another voucher to use, I'd buy a 3rd Viper. Because I'm silly like that. They really are great cars, at any price under $100K. That goes for every trim level.
I've bought every black TA that came to Canada :)

Used ones sell for more than that up here, and could for some time. Supply and demand. Your left half of Canada received a grand total of 2...both orange. Can't believe there was even one new TA left in all of the US, much less that a dealer would let it go for so little when he probably had many opportunities to sell it for significantly more had he been on the ball.

Yeah I was just bugging. I know I won't find any wild deals up here. Although a local guy just bought a base SRT in comp blue from a local dealer for what sounded like a great deal to me. Brand new 2015 order too.

I've been talking to Ed during this search, he's having some shipping issues... It's looking like a 9 day shipment at this point.
Which is much better than when I got my sirst Gen I during this time of the year. It took mine about a month from Delaware to Cali.

Could be worse. When I bought my 5, i was was on vacation the day it was to arrive. Flew home early. Car never arrived.
Called asking where it was, never left TX, the shippers truck broke down. They called not me, not Tomball. No one.
Bernie got it straightened out - but I was not pleased with the shipper.

I just saw yesterday where a new 2014 GTS with an MSRP of $135,700 sold on ebay for $93,700. I agree that it seems very believable.
I have a deal right now on a new 2013 GTS. 134k msrp and selling for 79.5k delivered. Still not sure if I should do it or not. There are just sooooo many cars sitting out there. It's very hard to find the bottom and just how low can they go?
I believe with the adjusted pricing on the 2014's they could go just as low if not lower.

$79.5k is a steal buy it. Is that new or used? With or without voucher? If you're not going to buy it, tell me where it is and I'll buy it. Seriously. These cars will not drop to zero dollars. You're not going to take a bath @ $79.5K. Just do it, Drive it and Enjoy it. The best deal I can find near me is a '13 Red GTS for $99K down from $139K and I believe that's a steal. But I'll take yours if you're going to pass on it. Let me know.

TAKE IT AND DRIVE IT LIKE YOU LITERALLY STOLE IT. This pricing is not the norm. I'm betting it's a dealer that doesn't know how to sell the Viper and just wants out at a loss. Even the dealer I'm looking at is shitty to begin with, didn't know how to sell the Viper, the one and only Viper they ordered. They kept it on the showroom floor roped off. 1.5 years later, they just want to be rid of it and will take a loss. It's these ass clowns dropping out of Viper sales that are creating the perception that $79K is the norm. $79K is just ridiculous on a GTS. The dealer must be desperate, suck or both.

I have had 2 vipers in the past. If you look at it from a standpoint of supply and demand, the demand is low and the supply is quite high. Factor in winter months and what do you do as a dealer. Either they will have to offer even more dealer cash or let the dealers swing in the wind. There are at least a 100 new 2013 models sitting, not to mention the 250 2014 models. I will say of the 4 new 2013 GTS vipers listed at 85k on their sites with varying msrp's, they all sold within a couple days.

I personally don't think $79 is the floor on the GTSs either. So many GTS on show room floors and little demand (unlike the TA and SRT). But, if you are a serious buyer I'd jump at $79, if it has options that suit your fancy. You'll be able to get less later, but maybe not be a color combo you want.

I agree supply and demand always sets the price in a free economy. When the high price GTS's came out there was little demand at the price. Now it's almost 2 models years later and there's still a lot of supply in relation to the demand, not to mention a large supply 2014's. Now the 2015's are about to come out and there is a lower priced GT. So the supply will increase as well as more demand for latest model. We'll have to wait and see how the supply and demand for the 2015 works out and how it effects the supply and demand of the new viper market (2013, 2014 & 2015). When all is said and done if a dealer want's to sell a 2013 they have to keep lowering the price until they find a point where a buyer will step up to the plate and buy. I think the longer they wait that price that will drive a buyer to purchase will continue to fail. I think a number of dealers realize this and are doing what it takes to sell the car while others just don't get it.

Part of the issue with the glut of GTS's is that almost all of them are red or black. Very little variety. If one of those colors is what you want, you should have plenty of leverage in the negotiation.

While currently there are more Red, White and Black new Gen V GTS's and SRT's available, there are still a lot of the other colors available as well with or without stripes. When it does get to the point where there are not many 2013's and 2014's left, most of them will likely be Red, White and Black. Currently it's not at that point.
With all this talk about low prices and how low they will go only time will tell. I think it's a really great car but Dodge didn't do a good job marketing the car. Put a side also the great Dodge dealers that are well known on this site you're left will a lot of dealers who don't do a good job selling or servicing the Viper. I've also heard that some dealers don't even want to service the Gen V. This concerns me as a potential buyer. I think all dodge dealers need to have qualified people to service the car.
The bottom line is in the end anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay. It seems Dodge has not done a good job creating more demand for the car anywhere near MSRP. As a result supply is very high relative to demand. It's sad that they have to close the plant down until supply is reduced. Very sad for the workers at the plant. As things currently stand they have to drop the price to sell the cars.
