Anyone having trouble with too many false alerts with their Valentine One around big rigs? Have just noticed that recently.
Most big rigs especially from the major carriers are now using lane change warning and distance warning systems which must be operating on or near the same frequencies.
I just mailed one of my three V1's in for the latest upgrade. Hope it filters out most of those false alerts.

YES!!!!! Almost all the new 2015 cars with lane change/adaptive cruise control/ect will set it off. I was behind a new 2015 Tahoe last week and had 5 radar signals being picked up from it, all in K band. Same thing happend when I was up next to an Audi R7S, this time 6 being picked up. You can turn off X and K on the unit but if you drive into an area where K is still used, it will not alert. A lot of smaller towns in south Texas still use the K.
It's annoying, but then again, if the false alerts serve to slow me down, I can live with that. The most serious problem is when you can't manage to loose someone in mild traffic or on a highway with an overpowered adaptive cruise option. You accelerate to gain some distance and get nailed by a real LEO, thinking it was the adaptive cruiser.
It's the same with the Escort 9500ix; I see all the blindspot monitoring cars banging my K band. And while every CHP I've detected seems to be using Ka band, I'm a little hesitant to turn off the K.
It just makes me pass those K emitters even faster :D
Yup, dealing with it for some time now. Please keep us posted if the update from V1 fixes it.
