LF,
Do you mean Hotel Reservations or registration fee? I have not received a party registration slip for you as of 11/2.
We have registration slips and checks for 14 members plus guests so far. Thanks for posting the flyer here. I'm going to have to send our another reminder to everyone as people just forget as the time quickly slips by.

As far as i'm concerned, i took care of both yesterday! I realize there is a bit of a time delay with a snail mailed check.....I'm sure you'll receive it by the end of the week.
If anybody hasn't made reservations, get to it! The special room rate ends this Thursday!
Now if i can just remember to get a white elephant gift prior to the party unlike last year.....

LF,
Received it today. Thanks for sending.
Good news! I talked to Wild Horse Pass Hotel and they will extend the special rate to our members until the hotel is booked up. They won't guarantee how long the special rate will be available. So if any member is on the fence about staying the night you better move fast as there is no guarantee after 11/5.
The fact you remembered you need to bring a white elephant gift is impressive!

Any idea if we'll be able to secure some special parking? I know a lot of people balked at bringing their cars since we'd have to park among the plebeians last year.....

Everyone got their reservations? I plan on taking the casino for a ton of money this year. Last year I lost, but now I have a system. I got it figured out.
I would also like to know about parking. Did we work anything out? I drove my pickup last year but it seemed like most people valet parked.

Are you going after the one-armed bandit? Didn't think you knew any of the other games.

Well, I am really good at "War." But only the more exotic casinos in Monoco play that. I am pretty good at blackjack. I just try and get as close to 21 as possible. So I bust a lot but sometimes you hit it just right. And best to sit at the last spot on the table so you can see what everyone else has. They seem to lose and cuss a lot though. I can't figure out why. Last time I was at a casino I think the other people at the table were betting on baseball too, cause they kept saying "the guy at third base is an asshole."
And I figured out slots. I just wait for someone to warm it up for me and then walk away. At that point, the slot is primed for a big payoff. Simple math really.

Actually, I have fun at a craps table but I don't think I really have a very good handle on it in terms of cutting my odds as best as possible. But the energy is a good time. I am actually not too much if a gambler but it's fun from time to time. The game I play most is the one where I give the bartender a bunch of money and see how drunk I can get. I always seem to win at that one.

It's not gambling if you know you're going to win........

Exactly. Thank you 682NV. And if I lose, I can just rob the joint. I have seen oceans 11 so I have a pretty good handle in it.

So it occurred to me that since we're doing the party on the first Friday of the month that means the following day is the first Saturday of the month which means there's a cars & coffee! I know not all of us are early risers(myself included) but for those that might be interested and are bringing their cars it would be something to do Saturday morning, especially if you're in the mood for a hot breakfast.
If anybody is interested, there is more information here: http://theshopsgaineyvillage.com/cars-coffee/\
It's a bit of a drive from Wild Horse Pass to Scottsdale, but i'm just spit-ballin' here.

I may have one eye still closed at cars and coffe time. But we'll see.
