If you have the MCS shocks and want to change the ride height or corner balance them you will need a MCS specific tool. I did a search and the only place I found them was from a BMW aftermarket parts supplier - Bimmerworld. The reason being, MCS is big in the BMW aftermarket.

Here is a picture of the tools set and the front/rear shocks. A pipe wrench works, but, it is a little brutish.

I need the spanners for my Moton Clubs. I wonder if these are the same size and would work. All I could find searching Moton was 68-75MM wrench.

You can order them straight from MCS as well...Mark Jorgensen was able to source a set for me when I asked about them.

I'm surprised that the wrench isn't always included when you purchase these coilovers. Being able to adjust ride height is a big of why many would choose them.

This. Why buy an adjustable setup that you can't adjust unless you pay extra for a special tool. Should be included imo.

Because it is NOT a hard requirement to have this tool...the adjusters move freely enough, and you can lock down the rings and break them free with a punch and a small hammer if you really feel like it or need to. The fact that most people will set it and forget it also factors in.

I understand that Steve. Heck, even the Gen IV ACR's came with an adjustment tool and we all know that probably 80% were never used. I'm just surprised it's not included. The MCS Shocks are not cheap.

I can definitely see it both ways...I think I paid about $50 for the spanner wrenches simply because I believe in having the proper tool if it exists. FWIW, they are pretty nice spanner wrenches...powder coated and everything.

Come to think of it, I may have had to pay for the wrench separately for a set of Advance Design coilovers I bought years a go.

Thanks Jay, but I'm hoping if I get a new ACR they will be included!

Bimmerworld said these would work for old Moton Club Sports. Thanks for the info Jack, ordered them today.

This is what I will do from this point on I will buy the wrenches and include them in with a shock purchase. We have not in the past because as stated most never change what we do after we set up, corner weight and align the car. The ones I have sold over the counter generally do it once and leave it also. I know there are guys though that like to change things up so I will include them without a cost change to you ($50 value).

That being said I cannot call every customer that has bought them (56 in the last 2 years alone), but if you have bought a set in the last 6 months from me and want a pair I will make that happen if you are willing to pay the shipping.

Thanks and I hope this commitment helps your decision when choosing shocks.

I have moved mine twice since I purchased. Not much, but some.

Way to step up Mark. If I upgrade the suspension on my car, I will definitely put serious thought into getting them from you.

SO I have the MCS singles on my 96' Viper RT/10 (absolutely awesome shock and changed the whole experience in my Viper). What exact wrench or wrenches do I need to purchased for ride height changes? I should pick so up, just in case. Since I am lazy and overworked today, does someone have a link they could post to where I can just hit "buy" already, or PM me if you have a set you don't want anymore. Interested!!!

Mark,

For the reasons you mention this is an unexpected and great offer. Even guys that aren't likely to use them will still be glad to have them. Thank you!

Bruce
