To avoid boiling the brake fluid or a soft pedal at the occasional HPDE, etc. I usually add Stainless Steel Brake Lines and high-temp brake fluid. I have had the best luck--by far--with the performance and longevity of Castrol SRF.

Before anyone suggests it, I am not a fan of Motul since it has not lasted even close as long as SRF--boiling and soft pedal much faster. SRF has easily lasted a year when I had only a couple of HPDE days.

1. Has anyone tried Endless 650 in their Viper Gen V? This is apparently OEM fluid in Porsche GT3 Cup cars.

2. If so:

(a) does it last a long time?

(b) do you prefer it to Castrol SRF?

I do not want to bleed or flush the Brake fluid often if I can avoid it. And yes, I understand that in race situations this is a must.

Finally, has anyone added the same Brake fluid for their clutch fluid?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I have two unopened bottles of SRF that I literally just had delivered on Saturday for an install I was doing on Friday :( I had to go out and buy Motul to get the job done.

If you are interested I will gladly sell you the SRF I have so that it's not sitting on my shelf.

Send me a PM.

Also, has anyone installed speed-bleeders on a Gen V? Do Speed-Bleeders run the risk of introducing air into the lines?

I understand that these make bleeding the brakes somewhat easier and perhaps I could do this in between fluid flushes.

Thanks!

Forgive the newbie question but, is this recommended in the Gen V for HPDE events or will the stock fluid be sufficient?

As long as its fresh it will be fine, but its so easy and cheap to swap to good stuff that I always just do it when I pick up a new Viper.

Thanks! I'll probably just use the stock fluid for this event being as it's my first then swap it out when i do my next.
