I'm going to use up the fairly new Sport Cups I had for my ACR. They are still mounted on my Gen IV 6 spokes, and I want to use them at the track. I seem to recall someone saying you needed spacer's on the front's with a Gen IV wheel on a Gen V due to the different offset. Can anyone confirm/deny ?

Thanks

Well the Gen V uses a 10.5 inch front wheel and the Gen IV had a 10 inch front wheel. The extra half inch sits outboard on the gen V so if you added a half inch spacer up front you would have the same offset appearance but you'd still be on a narrower tire, 285 instead of the 295.

Ok thanks. ACR came with 295 stock btw. Only the coupes had 275-285 fronts.

When I was typing that I was wondering if I remembered that correctly lol. I didn't.

So there ya go I would throw a spacer up front and see how it looks/feels on the car.

I'll be home in a couple of days and I'll throw them on with the spacers up front, see how it feels/looks. Depending on temps I might do a forest blast with them. :)

They will work just fine, but the front track will be smaller. You can add longer studs and wheel spacers to get it back to normal. We have these.

I needed 1" spacers to mount 18" G2 wheels on the rear.

The reason was, I wanted a specific DR and it was not available in a 19.

Rob,

The Gen 3/4 wheels will bolt on directly. They will sit further in, about 1/2-inch up front, than the stock wheels do. But, functionality-wise, they will still work for track visits. If you do 1/2" spacers, make sure you get the special lug nuts that have the extra 1/2" taper that goes down into the wheel, so that you engage the same amount of threads on the lug studs.

Jack B, you need some nice custom wheels instead of the crappy old non-fitting OEM wheels :)
